Good location but so so breakfast
Great location near Marienplatz and just minutes from the train station, the hotel overall is good. Lobby and restaurant area is a bit old style. While the room looks good, I cannot say it is contemporary. I did book a double bed but ended with twin bed which wasnt a big issue for me. Overall room is good and clean with good space, the bathroom is not bad as well. What I do have a bit of complain is the WIFI, in this age at 150kb or less it was super slow and if you want premium you will have to pay a bit for it which was a killer as I wasn’t able to get any work done. Breakfast, you’re better if you buy the package and if you are traveling around Asia a lot, I would not suggest the continental as it cost 9 Euro and it is so different from the Continental we know, while the full breakfast is 24 Euro which gives you access to the full buffet but still for me personally it wasnt a great selection. My recommendation walk around the block to the train station and you will see Munich in a new light, plenty of coffee shop and local market to grab your coffee and food that I feel is better. But overall not a bad hotel, if you have a slight budget the Le Meridien and ALOFT is just around the corner and better location by the street and across the train station which I did stay after Maritim and I found ALOFT much nicer with better fresh breakfast.

Great location, but that's about it!
Hotel is just a 2 minute walk away from the Hauptbahnhof station, so it is ideal if getting the train from the airport. The Hotel itself is tucked away off the main street up a pend, not what I was expecting from the photographs. The room itself was quite good, though the toilet could have done with some bleach down it! The shower was great if you also wanted to wash the floor at the same time as it had no door or shower curtain to prevent this. The leisure facilities, which I think only consists of a pool and sauna; as I could not find anything else, were over run by unsupervised children. This was not only dangerous to leave children unattended, but certainly spoiled our relaxation by the pool. We didn't try the food so I cannot comment. The patisseries in the nearby station were superb and were a lot cheaper than the breakfast on offer at the hotel. The hotel seemed to lack atmosphere. There was a piano bar, but never during my three night stay did I hear a single tune being played! Your better venturing out to the Lowenbrau beer garden, Englischer Garten or any of the other street cafes for a more lively experience.

Great base of operations in Munich
This hotel was less than a block away from the main train station in Munich. It was 5-6 blocks from the Oktoberfest grounds, and a 10-15 minute walk to the Marionplatz shopping district. If you want to hook up with a variety of tour companies, a number of them pick up near the south end of the rail station, another big plus. The hotel itself is in a somewhat seedy area, with lots of guys just hanging out on the sidewalks, but they posed no issue for our family. There are also a fair number of street beggars with various physical maladies. Since the hotel is set back off the street, it gives a feel of greater security. Overall, we'd stay here again because it was such a great base of operation and a quality property with a helpful and friendly staff.

Modern, Clean, and could not be better located!
We stayed in this hotel for Oktoberfest, and it was amazing. We did not have to use a taxi during the entire trip. It could not have been more conveniently located. It's located on a not-too-busy side street directly across from Hauptbahnhof, which is Munich's main train station (2 minute walk). The hotel is also only about 20 minutes walking to theresienwiese, which is the park where Oktoberfest takes place. In addition, it's only about a 20 minute walk from the city center, where you'll find Marienplatz (historic building with the Glockenspiel), and all the historical churches and traditional restaurants. Room was clean, staff was friendly. Gave staff 4/5 stars because they gave me quite the hassle when I requested a cot for one additional person to stay in the room (they wanted to charge us, which we don't do in the U.S.). Anyway, overall 5 star experience.

This was a great hotel! My husband and came to Munich for the sights and Oktoberfest and this hotel was in the perfect location. It was less than a 5 minute walk from the train station and a 15 minute walk to Oktoberfest. The rooms were clean and spacious with most of the amenities you would find in the United States. I can't say enough about the staff! They were extremely helpful, especially the desk clerk on the afternoon shift Oliver. He became our go to guy for suggestions on where to eat dinner! If you are looking for a place to stay in Munich that is close to their public transportation, friendly staff, clean rooms, great breakfast and a nice bar to relax in, this is the hotel!
