Not exactly a win, but had some positives

Loved the area and the lobby. We didn't feel that the price for the room was worth it based on the balcony facing a parking lot, and the fact that we called the Guest services team 4 times without anyone answering the phone (at different times of the day) and we could not easily find the prices for the mini-bar too which was frustrating. They have everything "online" but you cannot find it half the time which is beyond frustrating. My husband and I are well versed in tech so the fact that we couldn't find it would really frustrate guests who don't use online as often. The sheets were clean, but hot for some reason, but the decor and the little couch and table in our room was wonderful. The pool area was nice but we didn't use it. Watch out for the VERY high resort fee. All that being said, they let us into our room early in the day which was wonderful and the Room service team was very nice! So some good and some not as good. It honestly depends on what you are looking for in a hotel :)

    Beautiful grounds, disappointing hospitality

The grounds of this resort are beautiful and relaxing- that is why I returned after having a conference here a few years ago. Definitely ask for a room on the second floor, as the ground floor rooms are very dark and basement like, saved only by the French doors opening to the patio. Check in is on the later side at 4:00. This would be acceptable except for the fact that it seems that most guests were not checked in on time (based on chatting with other guests). Our room was not ready until 5:00. This is surprising given that the rooms are not serviced by housekeeping during your stay, so they should not be overburdened in turning the rooms over. The front desk staff was not very friendly or accommodating. They acted as though it was a privilege to stay there. Though I was given a text link for any questions, when I utilized this I did not receive a reply. Bottom line... 2nd floor rooms and general hotel ambiance are very nice, but service could be vastly improved. The exception to this would be the pool area waitstaff, who were friendly and hardworking. Otherwise, no employees seemed to be very happy to be there.

    Pretty hotel and great food

The hotel is beautiful, food was amazing. The rooms were very comfortable. The service lacks tremendously. Our first day we were told there would be a 40 minute wait for breakfast even though the restaurant was empty. A couple walked up after up and they were told there was a wait but they could order and sit anywhere near the pool or in the bar area. We were not given the same options. I guess they assumed we weren’t guests of the hotel, not sure why. The bar staff that morning was also unwelcoming. Not a great first impression, things improved as the day went on.

Spring break in Scottsdale! Hotel was not ready for the influx of people. 1st nite we arrived, no restaurant service. For 2 nights restaurant had private events. Room had no dresser to put clothes in. We lived out of suitcases. No concierge, no shuttle service to airport. Front desk person said they had some one to drive us, and would text us. Never did. Only place to get any service was at the bar, and they were Overwhelmed! Old hotel, really needs updating. Friends we went with had shower problems entire trip. Flooding into the bed room. Doubt we’d ever stay there again. Beautiful property, but just not a good match for us. Sry😬

    Girls trip

Great mom/daughter trip. Loved the property. It was a little farther north then we would have preferred. Bummer that the shuttle service was shut down due to covid. The golf cart service on a few nights was fun.

    Terrible experience

No attendant at the front desk. We had to knock on the door, which did not get results. We walked to the bar. No help. Finally someone showed up and informed us that despite the fact that we had reserved a king bed, we got 2 queens. “Because they were full”. The room had chipped paint, was generally in disrepair. Small bathroom. Will never ho back, especially for over $500 per night.

The resort is beautiful, with a nice inside and outside bar area. The restaurant had a good menu as well. Lots of nice restaurants within walking distance, too. Our room was great with a nice view from the patio. Staff was super helpful and friendly.
