Horrible traffic noise, poor WiFi, tv didn’t work. Not sure if there are other rooms away from traffic noise but we couldn’t sleep. Our room was very clean and included a nice welcome bottle of wine. Wouldn’t stay in rooms by street again.

Cute place parking opposite but very busy. Comfy bed but bathroom although clean was smelly. Great couple of restaurants to choose from. Don’t know where they get 20 mins walk to the palace etc. more like 1.30 HOURS and mostly uphill and very steep. We walked for 30 mins , gave in and took a tuk tuk ride , cost 20 euros, and took at least 12 minutes still to top, some way to walk when dropped off. Not the most ideal place to stay for doing sintra as very misleading information about being able to walk to most of the sites of interest but enjoyed the stay.

We had a great overnight stay at Storytellers Villas in Sintra. The location is peaceful and quiet, yet close to all the main attractions in Sintra. The beautiful garden was a lovely place to relax, and we were delighted to be greeted by the friendly resident cat! The beds were very comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. The hosts made us feel very welcome, and the whole experience was enjoyable from start to finish. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Storytellers Villas to anyone visiting Sintra.

Nice, friendly, and helpful staff. The room is cozy with the amenities needed in the kitchen and bathroom. The court yard is nice. The Jeany the cat warmly welcomes everyone. The place is conveniently located to all the attractions. We will highly recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful property and lovely accommodations. Super close to restaurants and cafes. Highly recommend Cantinho de Sao Pedro. Excellent traditional Portuguese food for reasonable prices. Communication at the villas was excellent, however we were never told how to book breakfast so if you’re interested in that, I suggest asking ahead of time. We had a two bedroom Villa for 6. Space was tight but we were only there to sleep. Would definitely recommend these accommodations!

clean room, beautiful area, not centrally located in lisbon but close enough to uber easily. EXCELLENT parking, definitely the easiest of the trip- huge lot right across the street! no AC which made it a bit stuffy during the heat wave, and the check out time was slightly confusing, but everyone was very helpful and the area was walkable and quiet, with restaurants and shops conveniently located. also VERY close to peña palace, if you’re visiting! additional perk- a kitty lives in the garden and will definitely cuddle with you if you’re open to it. would definitely book here again!

Beautiful rooms in central Sintra; quite peaceful with nice garden, pond and outdoor seating to relax in the evening. Rooms have lots of kitchen amenities fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Lots of free parking at park across from apartment. walkable to palaces but it's all up hill and takes 35 - 45 min with kids family. Book Uber to palaces early since it takes long to find driver and 20-30 mins in traffic.

Stay was great, we were slightly delayed receiving the room but we were provided keys and our luggage was stored and put into the room for when we came back. Checkout was early so we were able to leave the keys on the counter and leave through the side door which locked behind us. Free parking was available in the lot across the street.

We loved this hotel. The staff was kind and helpful, especially Bonnie who kept our room spotless…anything we needed they provided. It’s not a modern property but we preferred the roominess of having 2 bedrooms and close to many restaurants. There is a great little coffee shop next door with delicious pastries we went to every day!

We had a tremendous stay at the Storytellers Villas. We cannot recommend this location highly enough. We stayed in the two bedroom room, and it was the perfect amount of space; our nine year old was thrilled to have her own room and bathroom. We had the pleasure of being served by Bowani who is not only the housekeeper, but also the receptionist, and the server at breakfast. Obrigada, Bowani! You are a gem. Breakfast was a great selection of breads, croissants, ham, cheese, yogurt and hot beverages. All you need! We will definitely be back.

Pros: Well designed, comfy rooms; rather than a kitchenette, a nearly complete kitchen; great house keeper; convenient location; easy parking. Cons: Lousy back office. Before I even arrived, I received a weird request from the Storytellers through Hotels.com to pay an additional 176 euros. I was fully paid and ignored it, nothing more was said of it, but in view of what came later it deserves mention. At the end of the stay, the management hit me up for an extra 20 euros for using the sofa bed. Mind you, I booked for myself and my son, so obviously we would use the extra bed. I had to ask for bedding on arrival and nothing was said until the end. So that was both surprise/hidden billing as well as nickel and diming, because I've never been charged for using a sofa bed before. Not anywhere. Although they honored my VIP-Platinum status for early check in, I was also supposed to get a bottle of wine because of VIP and that wasn't there. The kindest way to describe it is the back office/management is confused; the unkind way you can probably guess, but I will leave that unsaid.

The two bedroom apartment that we booked for our family was big enough to accommodate four people. Full kitchen, complementary bottle of wine. The apartment had two showers, but one of them was very small for our 6’4” son. Very nice breakfast. Charming property. We came during the busy holiday activities, so parking was challenging - be aware that parking on the street may subject your vehicle to the damage from passing by vehicles due to narrow streets. Few steps away from amazing restaurant, Taxka, with amazing food and service!
