Hidden gem near the train station in Sintra
This hotel is very near the train station and some excellent restaurants. The staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. We needed to drop our bags off early and they were very kind about this. They even took them to our room. We found the place quiet and the port offered at the end of the day was a nice gesture. The breakfast was just excellent and quite close. I had to leave earlier than it opened on our last day and I asked if I could use my breakfast voucher for a croissant, cheese and a bun. They delivered this box to the hotel with a huge amount of items in it. I was so pleasantly surprised. It was all so good. This is a great place to stay and I would recommend it.

We loved our time in Sintra and at Chalet Saudade
Chalet Saudade is absolutely beautiful. Catarina at the front desk was so helpful and friendly with many great suggestions on what to see and do. Sintra was magical and this location was perfect for seeing the sights. Walking distance to the National Palace and many great restaurants and bakeries. This is a historic building, beautifully maintained. We felt like we were staying in a palace. My daughter said she could get used to being royalty. For an unforgettable stay choose Chalet Saudade.

This property is a house that was built in late 1800's. It was refurnished and converted into a hotel. It has vintage furniture and you feel like you are in someone's house rather than in a hotel. I loved our room and I even spent time in the lobby which felt and looked like the living room. The location is great. We walked to the restaurants near the train station in a few minutes and to the center in about ten minutes (and it is a lovely road).
