The staff was helpful and attentive; they arranged a shuttle to pick us up at the train station and also to bring us into town for a dinner reservation. "We have been on this trip for over three weeks. Most of the time we have been in 4 or 5 star hotels. Without a doubt, this hotel was a real pleasure. While we only stayed for one night, they treated us like royalty. From the first person we met from the hotel to the last one as we were leaving they were all very friendly and very nice. Lugano is a beautiful place and this place made it even better. "

"Beautiful hotel with exceptional view of the Isola Bella and neighboring Lago Maggiore islands. Excellent restaurant service and food. Wonderful breakfast. Would have given an overall 5-star review with one issue - I was checked in to my room and enjoying a drink on the veranda to recuperate after a long drive to Stresa, when ten minutes into my stay, the porter arrived and told me I had to move to a different room.
