We had an amazing stay at Turaco Resort Nungwi! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The facilities were excellent, the resort was clean and well maintained, and the location was beautiful. We chose the all-inclusive package, and it was definitely worth it. The food and drinks were great, with plenty of variety throughout our stay. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this resort!

Super friendly staff, but unfortunately the overall impression of the hotel, was somewhat outdated, and needed an overall upgrade. Woodpanels in bathroom was falling apart due to moist. The roof had holes mutiple placed Our AC in the room leaked water continously, making the floor underneatch wet at all times Power kept going out, especially at night, and when turned back on, the TV also started, waking us up all nights Wheels on sunbeds attached with pins that fell out when moving. The hotel might have been really nice 10 years ago, but just lacked attention to detail and maintance

Our stay was extremely good, accomodation, food and staff is amazing. Only problem, and a big one, is a lady called Anna, she is an Assistant Manager. She was extremly rude to me and my fammily. Other staff members confidentially said to me that she is like that many times, not only with guests but with them as well.

We stayed at Turaco Nungwi Resort and had a generally positive experience, though one issue unfortunately impacted the overall impression. The resort itself is in a truly stunning location. The sunsets are absolutely spectacular, and the combination of beach, pool area, and bar creates a magical atmosphere that is hard to beat. The staff were outstanding. They were consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely service-minded. We felt we built a very good connection with several team members, who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. However, the presence of crows at the resort was a significant drawback. This was not just a minor inconvenience—it affected the overall experience. The crows were frequently seen damaging the thatched roofs, entering the restaurant area, and even taking food directly from guests’ plates. Around the pool and sunbeds, they created constant noise, which at times became quite overwhelming. While the resort has many strong qualities, this issue should be addressed, as it detracts from what would otherwise be a near-perfect stay. Overall, a beautiful resort with exceptional staff, but the crow problem unfortunately lowers the overall experience.

Fantastic and responsive staff, excellent food, very nice view from the room overlooking the sea, comfortable room. What we liked less: signing the bills for each drink or meal even though we were all inclusive... boring... lack of entertainment and atmosphere, and when there was entertainment they started too early, while people were eating and couldn't enjoy it, and they finished too early (9:30 p.m.) to be able to enjoy it after eating... and the fact of not being able to take advantage of the all inclusive on the day of departure between the noon check out and the pick up time, asking us to pay for drinks after check out when we spent 10 nights at the all inclusive price is a bit mean

Stayed in a sea view room which was fabulous, great outlook and easy assess to the beach area. Room was spacious and clean. The staff were so friendly and service was really good, a little slow at times but you’re on Zanzibar time so you get used to it. There was a good few places to venture out to around the hotel and even walking in the village was lovely! Do be prepared to be approached every two mins by the locals but they are all very friendly and do eventually stop and leave you to carry on with your day. Overall we loved our stay in this hotel and would recommend highly to anyone thinking of booking.
