This was our favorite stay on our 11 day trip. It’s a little treasure of the main road. The staff is friendly and made some great cocktails during their happy hour. Comfortable room, shower water pressure is not very high but at least it's hot. Hotel is very nice and has good breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Also a good location to see the aurora if the sky is clear, as there's great visibility in all directions!

We stayed in 13 different locations throughout Iceland and this was the worst. Now it wasn’t a terrible experience but nowhere near the level of satisfaction as the other locations. We paid for a triple and we got a single and the room was tiny. The bathroom was even smaller with a show that had no water pressure. We ate dinner here and the food was really good but really expensive. We ate breakfast there and it was just ok. Not as much selection as the other locations and they had just brewed coffee whereas the other places had a coffee machine which makes all the difference. This place was chosen because of the location but if you can drive a bit further or stay closer to somewhere else I would. I would never choose this place again.

This was one of the best breakfasts that we had in all of Iceland, but it doesn't make up for the fact that the windows are old and we could hear the wind howling all night. None of us slept really well because of that. Also, on the website, it says you have laundry services, but you charge 5000 krona to do one load of laundry. Preparing someone's laundry and having laundry services on site is two totally different things.
