We had a fantastic stay here. The resort is absolutely perfect, great location and amenities, it’s almost too good to leave to go exploring (but you have to!). The room, balcony and view was spectacular. If you are thinking of going here, stop thinking, just book it, and definitely upgrade to the Gold experience, it’s worth it. We stayed here for our 10 year wedding anniversary and our stay was fantastic. Our ocean view room had a great view of the golf course and ocean. There is a private beach and the pool is open 24/7. The gold experience was top notch and we felt well taken care of. I believe the hotel is great without the gold but the gold put it over the top. We would stay here again with or without gold.

We stayed at Fairmont Orchid Gold for six nights as a family and the services we have received were exceptional. Although we had to wait a bit for our room to be ready, we were able to relax and enjoy refreshments at the Gold lounge. Due to some complications we encountered we got a free upgrade to a suite with ocean view which made our stay even more comfortable. The hotel property ground is amazing with beautiful landscapes at every corner. The private beach with a cove made swimming and snorkeling in the ocean very safe and enjoyable particularly when you have younger kids. We enjoyed delicious breakfast and evening refreshments every day at the gold lounge and all service members were extremely courteous and have us very useful suggestions on where to visit. Overall we love our stay at Fairmont orchid and will definitely come back in future!

They upgraded us to a suite for our honeymoon. The rooms are newly redone and are so beautiful and thoughtful. The Gold experience made us feel like royalty, although I would think it would maybe include some parking perks or pool perks. The grounds of the hotel were outstanding. The property is on a secluded beach about a half hour from Kona. The Gold Orchid Lounge was really nice and included breakfast and appetizers as well as juice, coffee and water. Most of the staff were excellent. The bed was very comfortable. The beach was a great place to watch sunset. It is close to Blue Hawaiian helicopter tours. We tried the restaurant Brown’s beach house. The ambiance with live music was nice.
