"Clean rooms, friendly service, chic lobby and courtyard. Breakfast is very well handled with a great spread. My only complaint is that when I booked, you could choose "city view" or "courtyard view." There is no city view, so we overlooked some roofs. I'd suggest "courtyard view.""

"This is a stunner of a hotel right on the shore in Dunkirk. Lovely room and bar/lobby. Because we were on a roadtrip for F1 we had a car which was accommodated by the parking lot. (We had a Volvo XC60, and it was a bit of a squeeze even though not full, so best if you have a smaller car to maneuver.) Nothing but positive feedback and highly recommend staying at the Merveilleux. "

"Terrible odor of cigarette smoke (in a non-smoking room). Un-safe environment with people hanging around outside, looked like immigrants.
Booked for 3 persons (1 adult and 2 chilren) including breakfast. However, in the system at the hotel, only 1 person was included - on hotels.com it could ONLY be seen as breakfast included for the entire group."

"Hôtel que nous ne connaissions pas qui est une superbe découverte.
Bien situé a La Panne, les abords sont calmes malgré la foule des mois de juillet/août.
Le parc faisant partie des installations est top ! Tables en suffisance pour s'installer à l'ombre & transats a disposition pour un petit havre de paix 💯
La chambre était pour sa part suffisemment grande et décorée de manière légere mais jolie avec télé. Le lit était confortable (juste dommage que lits jumeaux 😔). Salle de bain petite avec...

Good
It had an operational port - so on side of the view is pure beach and the other quite industrial. I have been here 3x and still like going back because the beach is that amazing!

An amazing area with lovely friendly people. Everyone cannot do enough for you including speaking English when we struggle with our French. My wife and I love this place and along with Calais it's our weekend retreat

"We didn’t pay for breakfast but was ideal when running late on le shuttle and wanting a quick drink and comfy bed, it’s been our 3rd time now and a lovely hotel"
"Due to our vehicle breaking down we needed a place to stay while the vehicle was fixed. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't have been more helpful, helping us source a garage, making us feel comfortable and welcome the whole time. We found that local buses are free, so we still had opportunities to explore the area, though we loved the walking too. We would highly recommend this hotel. "
"As usual the holiday inn calais served us well.
It may just be the area as it was quite loud with traffic.
We always request a sea view room so again, we should be used to the noise by now!"
"We stay at this hotel a few times a year as a midway stop off.
It has really nice staff, many speak english but even the staff who don't are friendly and we find a way to communicate.
It is always nipping clean, nice towels and linens.
It does breakfast and dinner as extras and it always looks smashing😊
Has free secure parking."

"Lovely hotel, clean and feels very new and modern. Our room was fantastic, we were upgraded to a two bedroom suite with a balcony facing the road and the fields beyond. Walkable to bars, shops and restaurants. We will be back!"

"Our room
Was huge with an amazing bathroom with an exercise bike in it!! A huge double wall in shower and massive bath tub. The room was fully equipped with a little kitchen and we were able to cook our own eggs in the morning. We didn’t use the breakfast option in the hotel. Dunkirk beach and sea front is a 30min walk away and even with children they managed an absolutely fine. The only thing I would say is the sofa bed was a bit too small for 2 children. With all the space we had they could have easily put another camp bed in there so they both had their own beds. We would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again. "
"Reviewing a hotel that is only £28 a night for 2 people is not easy. Overall value for money wise it is exactly as I expected. Basic, but functional. No frills, barely something that could have a frill. Bring earplugs. Bring a towel. Bring a realistic level of expectation. "
"An absolutely fantastic stay at a hotel a short drive from the channel Tunnel terminal. It was everything we needed, quick to check in, friendly staff, a clean spacious room and a fantastic bed for the night. The room was quiet, a fan was provided and we had a much needed night’s sleep in a very comfy bed. We were a little concerned about security and parking a car, but I would not hesitate to return, or recommend this hotel to others needing an overnight stop in Calais."
"Staff was very welcoming and helpful. We were lucky to find a parking slot just outside, free of charge. The room was quite compact but was well maintained and spotless, facing the innner courtyard so guaranteed a good sleep. Bathroom looked like freshly refurbished and super clean, with strong shower pressure. Locationwise, it's close to good bakeries and seaside (which is amazing!), also about 25 min walk to Belfry and old town eith cafes and bakeries. We'd happily stay there again."
"We arribed after check in which was no problem as they had sent us instructions on how to enter and get to our room (even though i panicked as they were sent on the day of check in not before) the room was lovely and clean, large with a coffee maker! We only stayed one night but we wished we stayed longer! We came from Dover on the ferry to go to the theme park plopsaland near by but we really wished we could of made it a longer trip but we will be back! The "
