"Best location, minutes from Castellane town center by foot. Accommodations are good but not a very private camping. All lots are corded side by side with minimal space but considering the proximity to activities no need to spend anytime at campsite other then sleep. Everything was functional and clean with mobile home."

"Beautiful old French farm house in the middle of nowhere.
Great if you are a minimalist looking for quaint. Not for those who want creature comforts, new linings and towels. Bring your own soap.
Breakfast was croissants , bread and a large pitcher of coffee. This was very good and included in the price. "

"We were very disappointed. We we riding our bikes on a tour of the region, and arrived before 5pm. The manager did not look happy to see us, and made us feel uncomfortable that we came early. He did give us a room though. There are no easy dining options within walking distance, except for a crepe place with a very limited menu. Finally, we were told that breakfast was not before 8am. Upon arriving at 8am, the breakfast room was locked, but we could see that people had already had their...

"The Medieval Castle was beautiful and the views are spectacular. Hortense was such a pleasant to deal with. She makes sure we have everything we have, answered all our questions and very welcoming.
The food was delicious, we would go back."

"What a great surprise to have a prized chef owning this Hotel. Kevin served us up the most amazing, incredibly high end seven course degustation dinner with a bottle of local wine to set the mood. The service was friendly, courteous and efficient. We seriously loved our stopover and will be looking to visit again on our next visit to Europe."

"Convenient location to explore the Gorges de Verdon. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are small without refrigerator or coffeemaker. The hotel and balcony furniture needs some updating. Simple breakfast in a beautiful room with a view."

"These folks are busy and Vincente still makes a very nice breakfast. The pizza at the truck down the road is a great option for dinner on the terrace. Check out the unusual goats next door and the Spar market has WARM baguettes in the morning across the street. Ask for âUne baguette, sâil vous plaitâ and enjoy! This lodge was MUCH further than I expected on extremely windy roads from Cannes and through Grasse but it was beautiful. The Val du Saint Thierry has a great farmerâs market on Sunday morning."
"Property gives a unique chateau experience not to be found in a hotel. Very beautiful remote location with excellent views and sunsets. Great service. Very relaxing get away."
"This auberge is situated in the centre of Castellane, with a river at the rear that you can swim in. The breakfast was varied and there was plenty of it, lovely staff who were very friendly and helpful. There is a large rear shaded terrace which was quiet snd you could relax have a drink.
Castellane has a friendly, busy but relaxed vibe, plenty to see and do. I would definitely stay again.
Ask for a room on the rear so that it is hidden from the buzz of the square. "
"We had a wonderful couple nights here. The family that run it are so nice. The gentleman spent time talking to me and skiing! It was so nice and authentic."
"The staff is very helpful and kind. The rooms are good for the class of hotel it is. The location is excellent for a stop over on a road trip. The town is nice and walkable"
"Fantastic hotel. Great views over the valley, lovely pool area, large free car park, friendly staff, room was clean and comfortable with air conditioning. Balcony was lovely.
Breakfast is excellent and well worth the âŹ16, full of delicious local goods and fresh bread and pastries. Would definitely recommend - beautiful views from the terrace too.
Itâs a short walk to Moustiers along a path and pavement, and a short drive to Verdon gorge.
The pre-check-in information seemed a little officious but once we were there, the staff were very friendly"
"if you are going to the verdun gorge area this is it
rooms are wonderful food is gourmet both breakfast and dinner
great stop for two days as you get to see the village and the lake area "

"We stayed two nights to see the gorges. It was wonderful. The facility is lovelyâŠ.well laid outâŠ.great hot tub/poolâŠ.and the view from our room was beautiful. The Gorges du Verdon is a gemâŠ..be sure to drive the loop and then the long way roundâŠ.stunning."
"Clean and tidy. Really helpful on reception and polite. The only thing i would say is it needs to be made clearly at the time of booking regarding charge for sheets and towels. Got email after booking regarding this. Was comfortable stay and quiet "
"Enjoyed dinner & breakfast at the restaurant that belongs to hotel. Good quality meals. Extraordinarily polite & friendly staff!
The only drawback : this tiny village is far away from any other places. "
