The Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram (“Instagram”). You understand that you are providing your information to the Sponsor (defined below) and not to Instagram. The information you provide will only be used for the administration of this Sweepstakes and in accordance with the Sponsor’s privacy policy (see below). Instagram is hereby completely released of all liability by each entrant in this Sweepstakes. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Sweepstakes must be directed to the Sponsor and not to Instagram.

Information on how to enter, the prizes and rules for redeeming the prizes form part of the terms and conditions of entry for the Sweepstakes. Participation in the Sweepstakes is deemed to be acceptance of “Official Rules” (“Official Rules”) and any other notices referenced herein. In these Official Rules, the term “you” refers to any person who enters, or who wishes to enter, the Sweepstakes.

Eligibility: The Hotels.com “A Year of Perfect Somewheres 2024” Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland) (“UK”) and the United States (“US”), who are the age of majority and at least eighteen (18) years old or older at the time of entry, and who otherwise meet the requirements set out in these Official Rules. Employees of Hotels.com (“Hotels.com”), and its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, prize suppliers and advertising/promotion agencies as well as the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children, and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and household members (whether or not related) of those employees, are not eligible to enter.

Entry Period: The Entry Period begins at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (“PT”) on May 15, 2024 and ends at 10:00 AM PT on May 29, 2024. Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible. Sponsor’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Sweepstakes.

How to Enter: If you don’t already follow @Hotelsdotcom, visit https://www.instagram.com/hotelsdotcom/ and click on the icon to follow @Hotelsdotcom. Entrants must be following Hotels.com at time of verification in order to be awarded a prize.

Once you are following @hotelsdotcom, like the sweepstakes post, leave a comment describing your perfect somewhere, tag the person you would like to go with you, and you will be entered for a chance to win.

There is a limit of one (1) entry per person per day per country of residence. If you attempt to obtain more than one (1) entry per day by using script, macro, any automated system, multiple/different accounts, identities, registrations or logins, or through other methods, Sponsor may exclude you from participating in the Sweepstakes and entries made (or which appear to have been made) using any such system may be treated as void. Any illegible, incomplete or fraudulent entries will be rejected. Participation is subject to the Hotels.com Terms of Service (hotels.com). When you respond, you are providing information to Sponsor. No purchase necessary.

By entering, you indicate your full agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions regarding the sweepstakes, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements in these Official Rules.

Random Drawing: On or about June 5, 2024 at 10:00 am PT Sponsor or its agent will select one (1) potential winner in a random drawing of all entries received. The odds of being selected as a winner depend on the number of entries received.

Notification and Potential Winner Requirements: Sponsor will notify the potential winner via direct message on Instagram via the account used for entry and will be asked to respond to provide their full name, telephone number (including area code), mail and/or email address. Sponsor will reply to potential winner at the e-mail address provided with an Affidavit of Eligibility and, where lawful, Liability/Publicity Release (collectively, “Affidavits and Releases”), to be signed by such potential winner and returned within 14 business days of the date appearing on the prize notification, as directed. In order to receive a direct message from Sponsor, you must (a) be following @hotelsdotcom and (b) have your account settings set to “unprotected” and/or “public.” In the event a potential prize winner fails to claim his or her prize by June 19, 2024, or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable, such potential prize winner will be deemed to have forfeited the prize and Sponsor will have no further obligation to such potential winner. If the prize is forfeited, the Sponsor will conduct a random draw from among all remaining eligible entries on June 20, 2024 at the same location as the original drawing to select a new potential winner. Such newly selected potential winner will be notified within two (2) business days of the drawing, using the contact details provided by that person when entering the Sweepstakes and will have until July 8, 2024 to claim his or her prize.

Prize: One (1) winner will receive a Hotels.com gift card worth $12,000 USD (converted to local currency and awarded as twelve (12) $1,000 USD/GBP gift cards).

Total ARV of the prize is $12,000USD.

Prize can only be redeemed on Hotels.com. The value of the prize cannot be applied to the cost of any previously purchased reservations or other miscellaneous charges. Re-bookings are not allowed. The value of the booking is not refundable. Booking is subject to certain terms and conditions as specified by issuer. Certain blackout dates and travel restrictions may apply. A winner is responsible for paying all associated costs that are not specifically stated in these Terms and Conditions, including (where applicable) transport to and from departure airport, flights, meal costs, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals. A winner is also personally responsible for any personal or incidental expenses and any VAT, national and/or local tax liabilities incurred in claiming or using the prize. If a winner's companion is a minor, the minor must be accompanied by his or her parent or legal guardian (at their own expense) if they are not the winner. Sponsor will not be liable for any expenses incurred as a consequence of flight cancellations or delays. Sponsor will not be liable for any airline and/or hotel fees incurred as a consequence of changing or cancelling flight and/or hotel reservations. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prizes or prize components. The prize is as stated and is non-exchangeable and non-transferable. There is no cash or other alternative to a prize in whole or in part. By participating in the Sweepstakes, participants agree that the prize is awarded on an "as is" basis, without any warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor and that neither Hotels.com nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies, make any representations or warranties of any nature with respect to the prize. A prize is subject to and a winner must abide by the prize providers’ terms and conditions of booking which can be found at Terms of Service (hotels.com).

General Conditions: In the event that the operation, security, proper play or administration of the Sweepstakes is impaired in any way, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, (a) suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes; or (b) terminate the Sweepstakes and award the prizes by random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received and combined up to the time of the termination. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and seek any and all remedies available from any individual who tampers with the operation of the Sweepstakes, violates these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Proof of sending any communication to Sponsor by mail or via the internet shall not be deemed proof of receipt of that communication by Sponsor. All Sponsor’s decisions in relation the Sweepstakes are final and Sponsor will not enter into any correspondence with participants. The Sweepstakes is subject to federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations, and is void outside of the United Kingdom, the US, and where prohibited.

Release and Limitations of Liability: By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt, use or misuse of any prizes and any portion thereof (including any travel/activity related thereto), including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone, or network lines; (c) any errors on the Sweepstakes site that may impact entry; (d) printing errors; (e) lost, late, misdirected, garbled, inaccurate, or undeliverable entries, trivia games or mail; (f) errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes; or (g) injury or damage to persons or property. You further agree that in any cause of action, in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees. To the extent permitted by law, you waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.

We will use your personal information as necessary in order to conduct and manage the Sweepstakes, and, where we have a lawful basis to do so, to send marketing communications to you. We may disclose your personal information to our related companies, agents, and contractors to assist in conducting and managing this offer, communicating with you, or storing data. Disputes: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligation of participant and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of: for residents of the UK, Wales, United Kingdom; for residents of the US, the State of Washington; without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, (whether of the State of Washington or Wales, UK or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than that of the Entrant’s country of residence.
