Top notch
We stayed at the Element for 2 nights. The room was large, clean and had great views of downtown. The staff was helpful and polite. One of the more comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept on. We would recommend to friends and family.

Perfect location, and a great three night stay.
Overall a great stay. Service was wonderful. A few room details like towel bars in need of repair and no dishwasher soap, but everything else was wonderful.

This hotel was beautiful and clean! We went for a quick weekend trip for a concert. I would definitely stay there again.

Highly suggested hotel
The Element is a nice, new hotel in downtown Detroit. The hotel provides and unique experience because of the conversion of a historic building to a hotel. Each room is different and is a different stay for visitors. The Element has a daily happy hour till 7:30 pm that offers great hospitality, wine/beer, and appetizers. Multiple, quality restaurants are located extremely close to the hotel with 2 50 feet to 1 block from the main entrance.

Great hotel but fell short on service
Love the hotel itself and the location is perfect. It’s very central in downtown Detroit and easy to access sporting venues, theaters, and restaurants. The rooms are nicely decorated & modern. The little kitchen is very convenient and useful. Nice big shower in the bathroom. Room is pretty spacious but the 2 queen studio did feel tight as the beds are very close to the walls. Hard to get out of one side if you’re sharing the bed with someone. Would have been nice to have a full length mirror and better bathroom lighting for applying makeup. Also, if you stay in a city view room - the view is great but you will hear noise from people/cars on the street below & there is also a lot of light coming in at night. So if you like a dark bedroom, you won’t be happy. But the beds are comfy. One issue we had during our stay is that our room was not serviced by housekeeping on two different days. We did not have a privacy sign up. They just skipped our room completely. We took it up with management and felt that it was dealt with in a fair manner. Still, disappointing when you pay that much money for a hotel room. Nonetheless, I’d stay at the hotel again. There are more pros than cons - especially the lovely breakfast included every morning. And the staff was very nice and helpful. Laura (front desk) was fab! And there’s a nice young lady who was the chef at breakfast who was super sweet (wish I would have gotten her name as she made some fabulous snickerdoodle banana muffins)!

Element Detroit - Great Location - Cool Hotel
We enjoyed our stay at the Element Detroit at the Metropolitan. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the city. The hotel is in an old building that has been beautifully renovated. The location is great - close to the sports arenas, restaurants, and bars. We will stay at the Element Detroit again.

Ok
Very nice hotel. They gave away our original room even though we checked In at the appropriate time, so we had a room that had less amenities than expected. We had to ask about price reduction due to changing room to which they were vague on. There were some very loud exhaust hvc vents outside our room which woke us in the morning and ran for about an hour. Breakfast was nice, several choices and good quality. We were able to walk to little Cesar arena in about 15 minutes from hotel for event.

Excellent location, friendly staff, clean and easy
4 girlfriends and I stayed in one of the rooms for 5 people, which featured a kitchen and a fold-out sofa plus 2 beds. It was clean, comfortable, and had a great view. Everyone at the hotel was lovely and accommodating. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. There was so much to do on foot within just a couple blocks - the location is unbeatable. We would definitely stay there again!
