Great hotel, would stay again
Great hotel near the market and beach in Pornichet. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The hotel was eclectic but very comfortable. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and garden. The breakfast buffet was good. Nearby restaurants were excellent.

Very pleasant stay!
This was my second stay at Hotel Sud Bretagne. The place is very well designed, and the staff is super friendly. I had asked for a quiet room in advance and got a very nice one with a pretty private patio. The parking space in the back and the lovely garden is another plus. Overall I enjoyed my stay very much.

Pros: Quirky old building with lots of fun features. Lovely garden and bar area. Large comfortable bed, and very close to beach and restaurant areas.
Cons: no air con and the street noise is quite loud with the windows open. No kettle but they gave hot water in a tea pot when I asked for it.

Eclectic shower and toilet space!
The lounge and garden areas are lovely. Our bedroom was rather "eclectic" in that the loo and the shower seemed to have been fitted into spaces that must have originally been alcove/wardrobe spaces!
Everything was clean - and we were only there for one overnight stop so not a problem - but would not choose a standard double room for a longer stay (was the only room left available we made our last minute booking).
But staff friendly - good (paid) parking - which we are glad we took as public car park had a market the next day (Saturday) and we would have been towed away!

Lovely hotel in need of modernisation
The hotel itself is lovely and so are the staff. The unfortunate thing is that in room 15 there is no air conditioning and it is sooooooo hot. Had to open window onto an extremely busy main road to let in air. Never slept and was bitten to death by mosquitos. I will never return.

I have stayed here before and was always quite satisfied, this time not so much.
I had to change rooms because the first one had the heating turned on and it was very hot in there. The Concierge first didn't believe me, then gave me a room that was definitely not worth what I had payed, rather cramped, dull colours and the light in the hall didn't work.
The hotel is otherwise quite nice. I hope it will be better again next time!

Chambre pas d’un 4 étoiles
Literie très bien, aucun bruit malgré la route à côté, petit déjeuner très bien. Mais chambre mal agencée, minuscule point d’eau, sans porte, sans rideau, toilettes encastrés avec porte en persienne, aucune intimité. Je reviendrai mais en mentionnant de ne pas avoir cette chambre qui est d’ailleurs sur aucune photo sur le site !

Joli hôtel remis au goût du jour
Bon accueil du personnel
Néanmoins nous avons séjourné un jour de forte chaleur et malheureusement les chambres ne sont pas équipées de climatisation. Au tarif de 170€ la nuit en chambre confort nous pouvions largement nous attendre à cela. Nous étions côté rue et avec les fenêtres ouvertes le bruit environnant s est bien fait entendre. Nuit mauvaise donc. Vraiment dommage pour un endroit comme cela.

Nous avons apprécié le calme de la chambre, sa décoration très originale avec meubles relookés, son confort. Nous n’avons passé qu’une nuit mais nous y reviendrons car la proximité du port de plaisance pour venir en bateau est un plus
