Ideal place to stay in the country

We stayed there as a stopover on a longer trip. The hosts were excellent. There were some cobwebs in the bathroom which put me off a little. Breakfast was good, even though there wasn't a great choice for some travelers. Everything was homemade and tasted lovely We would definitely stay there again.

Petite escale sympatique dans cette chambre d'hotes. Maison de campagne, tout est assez sommaire mais l'essentiel y est pour passer un peu de temps au calme dans la verdure. Bon petit dejeuner et conseils pour les visites aux alentours. Nos enfants ont beaucoup apprécié jouer avec les enfants du hote et surtout avec les chats - um vrai atout pour nos enfants qui adorent lrs chats!

Initial difficulties resolved by the owner

We had initial problems with the room, there was a power cut in the area for the whole of the first night. We had to move room due to a smell of oil/gasoline/kerosene causing me breathing difficulties. Although this was explained as being due to the power issues the smell remained in the main building whenever we were in it, breakfast etc. We were moved to an external building which was really nice and had a comfortable stay.

A éviter si on aime un peu de service

Établissement au fond d'un chemin sans indications, et avec un plan trompeur sur le site (flèche au mauvais endroit). Accueil déplorable, le téléphone était renvoyé sur un portable qui ne répondait pas (la couverture mobile était peut être défaillante), et un hôte de mauvaise foi. Résultat: 1 h pour arriver à trouver et arriver sur place malgré nos appels vers hotels.com, en plus du fait que le logement n'était disponible qu'après 17h ... On est doc accueilli par la mauvaise humeur de celui qui vient de se faire réprimander par la plateforme hotels.com qui n'a pas réussi à le joindre pendant presque 1h ... L'hôte a oublié qu'il n'est pas seulement utile d'encaisser le prix (en espèces, et il faut demander le reçu sinon cela passe au black), mais que c'est en contrepartie d'un service qui, cette fois ci, était manifestement au delà de ce qu'il était capable de fournir Chambre minimaliste, papier tue mouches au plafond, pas le moindre savon ou distributeur de produit lavant, 1 serviette mi-douche mi-mains par personne, chambre glaciale à l'arrivée, ... Bref: pas terrible, pour le moins
