There was a great arrival welcome feature of free wine and beverages. My room had plenty of local welcome snacks plus beer, whiskey complimentary. Onsen was beautiful indoors and out. Keiko dinner had plenty of options and was both traditional and dynamic. Service was extremely gracious and after dinner dessert buffet in the lounge was really impressive.

This is an older Hotel that feels like its prime time was in the 1970's and has never left that era and that was perfectly fine by us! This was a great experience we were greeted as we drove up to the property by name as they were waiting for us! The attendant grabbed our bags and lead us to the desk where we checked in and did so in perfect English. We were given our kimonos to wear during our visit which we did. We booked half board we got a nice 5 course dinner and breakfast. The outdoor Onsen was amazing and a 10 out of 10 for us!

Stayed from 10-13 Jan. It was a good place initially, with good service and food. However the biggest disappointment was the room. Stayed in room 516, It was infested with bedbugs. Hope they will clean up the room better. It is not stink bugs as mentioned in their memo

期待値以上のいい旅でした
私が訪問したときは、日本人の子連れ家族が多かったです。ロビーでの夏祭りイベント（祭りの出店みたいにいくつかの遊びが用意されていました。射的とか）があったからかもしれません。我が家はそういう事前情報はないまま、たまたまこの宿に決めたのですが、こどもたちがすごくエンジョイしていて、ラッキーでした。
ウェルカムドリンクにお茶かワインが選べたり、フリードリンクバーのサービスがあったり、夕食後のドルチェバーがあったりと、至れり尽くせりでした。部屋にウォーターサーバーが置いてあるのも地味に有り難かったです。
屋上テラスで、のんびりと山の緑を見て、自然の音を聞いてリラックスもできました。
近 くの御在所ロープウェイで山頂まで行って景色を楽しむこともでき、期待値以上の旅行になりました。御在所岳の険しい山道をのぼっている人の姿や、野生の鹿の姿もたくさん見られました。
基本、自然以外に何もない場所なので、日本人にオススメの場所です。

夜、暖房で部屋が乾燥して咳が出たので、加湿器があるとよかったです。

We had the halfboard option which means dinner and bfast the next day included. We sure glad we did, dinner n bfast was awesome service and we enjoyed the traditional japanese food a lot. Staff were 5star service. The place is very conducive to rest and relaxation. Onsen was 2thumbs up. We didnt know until after that hotel actually has shuttle service to and from train station. So be sure to call them to pick u up from the station if youre not driving.
Lobby not very impressive but you’d be surpised with how clean the room is and very modern yet still traditional with the tatami set up. Would recommend to family n friends.

御在所ロープウェイ乗り場まですぐ近くで便利です。割引きチケットもありました。
スタッフさんがフレンドリーで親切な対応でした。
天気が良かったので屋上からの眺めも良く、大自然の中に身を置いてゆったり時間を過ごせました。

宿泊施設は古いかと思いますが、キレイにされてました。
何より食事がとても美味しかったです。
季節も十分味わえましたし盛り付けも素敵で、
料理長さんの技術と思いが伝わりました。
ただ、お布団が重かったのと枕も硬かったかな。
こちらの改善されればもっと素敵なホテル？旅館になるかと期待しております。
