The hotel is located right across from the Dogo onsen. You can see Dogo Onsen from the room and private bath. The hotel guests can also access the open air bath in the adjacent Hotel Chahal. Great amenity and comfortable beds. I would highly recommend.

Our room was spacious and clean, charming and comfortable with tatami floors, low beds, and lots of place to sit. In addition to pajamas, there were robes and outer robes for onsen visits, tabi socks and slippers. Our room had a private spring-fed tub looking out over the city and the historic onsen across the street. The area was quiet and we slept well. The included breakfast in the hotel restaurant was fantastic -- so many delicious options. And the rooftop hot bath was lovely, with amazing views. The staff was warm and helpful. Some parts of the hotel (the bathroom and tub area in our room, for example) could use a little renovation and freshening up, but overall it was a beautiful place to stay. You can get a tram quite near the hotel that takes you to the castle, at the foot of which is a great area with shops and restaurants.

The staff gave us a very warm welcome. The room is clean as expected, and you can enjoy the hot spring inside your room or in their public onsen. The breakfast offers a variety of choices. And the location is perfect.

차하루 료칸 강추에요!! 도고온천본관이 바로 보이는 뷰라서 너무 좋고 객실도 넓어요 침대실과 다다미 거실이 구분되어 공간활용이 잘됩니다
본관 10층 온천, 노천탕 꼭 이용해보세요!! 부모님 모시고 가는 여행이라면 다시간다해도 이곳으로 갈것같아요
위치도 도고아케이드나 신사 등 주변 이용하기 좋아요 다만 바닥이 돌길이라 캐리어 끌고갈때 힘좀 들구요

The whole experience was amazing. We were able to relax in our room, to feel real traditional Japan even the room was a bit modern, and to enjoy the view.
We wish the breakfast was a bit nicer and have more fresh hot food.
But overall I cannot complain and we would definitely come back.

道後温泉本館の目の前という抜群のロケーションです。建物が古くなっているのか、室内の壁紙の汚れや剥がれているのが気になり少し残念でした が、備品やタオル、バスローブがとても良かったです。

最值得入住的溫泉飯店
這次住的是一泊二食的房型，接待人員十分用心，不經意的表達，都牢記在心。環境美觀清潔，房間內的榻榻米還有地暖，十分舒適。尤其晚上的餐點，細緻好吃，就餐區是包廂的形式，面對道後溫泉，兩晚都不同的包廂，負責傳菜的小哥很耐心的用翻譯軟體講解每道菜的烹調方式。還有飯店商品9折券，有些今治毛巾、伴手禮比在道後溫泉商店街買還便宜。太棒的住宿體驗

お部屋からでると外で階段も外です。雨風がきついとつらいかも…ですがコロナ対策としては良いような気がします。
お部屋数も少なく他の宿泊者と会うこともほぼなく、食事は個室で横並びにいただきました。お味はもちろんとても美味しかったです。
お風呂も各部屋に温泉が引いてあり、インテリア等こだわりが感じられオシャレです。
コロナ禍の中ではありましたが安心して宿泊することができました。

5階の増設された所に宿泊しましたが、増設部分の設計があまりよくないと思いました。
洗面ボールの排水が良くなかった。洗面ボールとカランの高さの相性が悪く、排水状態も良くないので洗いにくい。洗面ボールが洗顔に向いてない。洗面カウンターが狭く物が置けない。ロフトで寝るのが狭かった。トイレのリモコンが上手く動かない。暖房便座が途中で切れる。
