We enjoyed our stay. The views were amazing and room was very comfortable along with the beds. The shower water was hot and strong too which was really nice! Great location for driving the peninsula.

8/10 Very good

It’s a lovely location but they really need to address the shower situation. The bathroom is like a RV wet bathroom. The shower area has no lip / curb to prevent water from being all over the bathroom floor which is exactly what happens. The room was comfortable enough. The amenities ok. The setting is great and the view from the room is wonderful. All in all it’s a good if not best option. The shower situation which owners must know about (as they keep a giant squeegee in the bathroom) should be fixed.

Remote feeling yet 10 minutes to the small village, where there’s a few restaurants, a grocery store, and some tour operators. Beautiful views, well appointed and clean.

Kirkjufell view cottages

I stayed here 4 times now and absolutely love these cottages! Great location just outside of Grundarfjordur...very quiet and peaceful with great views looking out to ocean, mountains/Kirkjufell, and beautiful sunsets! Cottage as everything you need even small stove plate on the kitchenette you feel like cooking. Hosts also great and reply in timely manner to emails.

Liked remote setting and possible view of northern lights (too cloudy during our visit). Great views from the cottage windows. Quiet, no tv.

CWe loved our stay at Dis cottages – the view cannot be beat! The bed was comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water. It was a great location for us between Grundarfjordur and Stykkisholmur when exploring the Snaefellness peninsula.

We stayed here two nights, it was a beautiful little cottage. The windows gave an amazing view and overall was very quiet. It was close by to a small town with a grocery store and few places for coffee and food.

Such a peaceful stay with an amazing view! The location was great, only 10min from town, but located in a very quiet area. Room darkening curtains, very comfortable bed, basic kitchen amenities for simple meals. Host was wonderful! We would definitely stay here again.

The room has a great view. Didn't receive the check-in instruction email from the property so I had to call them. Water is not hot enough.
