Good basic hotel

A short walk from Käpylä station to the hotel. Nice and quiet neighbourhood. Rooms were clean. Pretty comfy beds. Friendly staff. Check out time nice at 12 so no need to rush to get up/out. Breakfast not great quality (hot foods), but had lots of variety. Not great for big heavy suitcases, lots of steps and doorways where need to lift the suitcase. So not super accessible. In summer take earplugs, there is some kind of a machine at the courtyard that is super noisy in the night, but in summer you need to keep the windows open because it's too hot. With earplugs you can sleep well. Otherwise the hotel is quiet.

When I arrived I was told I would have to wait in reception whilst the receptionist visited my room, most unusual. On day one I advised reception that my TV was not working, someone was despatched to my room to rectify the problem, they were unable to do so. I was told that I could not have a room change, however I was told that my TV would be replaced the next day. The hotel failed to change my TV. I was however supported very well by Tamnit Gill who kindly moved me to a new room.

Kyllä täällä yhden yön nukkuu.

Sänky oli mukava ja huoneen yleisilme siisti, aamupala varsin hyvä. Mutta huone haisi viemärille, ja suihkusuutin oli viallinen, ja suihkussa käynti kasteli minun lisäkseni koko kylpyhuoneen: vettä suihkusi muutamasta suuttimen reiästä suoraan kattoon, josta sitä tippui kauan suihkun jälkeen ympäri lattiaa ja peilin edessä hyllyllä olleeseen kosmetiikkapussiini. Oli iso työ kuivata kaikki meikit ja pussi, jottei kallis kosmetiikka menisi pilalle.

Tarvitsin lyhyellä varoitusajalla edullisen yöpymispaikan ja sellaisena hotelli palveli hyvin. Unta häiritsi huoneen sijainti ilmalämpöpumpun keskusyksikön yläpuolella. Lähes tauoton hurina ja pörinä toi mieleen risteilyaluksen moottorin äänen. Puuttui vain tax free -myymälän pullojen kilinä. Henkilökunta oli tavattoman ystävällistä ja sauna-uima-allaaosasto oikein mukava.

Leider ist dieses Hotel in die Jahre gekommen, unser Vierbettzimmer glich eher einem Jugendherbergezimmer, es war alles sauber, aber das Zimmer ist auf keinen Fall 200Eur/Nacht die Nacht wert. Das Frühstück ist leider auch nicht besonders appetitlich angerichtet, alle Warmspeisen sind mit Alufolie bedeckt, um es so noch länger warm zu halten. Wurt und Käse werden geschichtet...lecker ist anders. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich und können sicherlich nichts für diese Situation.
