Stunning renovation of the original building with lots of old objects to explore, but still a comfortable place to stay, within walking distance of all the major attractions. Immersed right in the heart of the city. With the owners bringing the culture right from the drink they served you upon checking in, to the intricacies of the baba experience embedded in your stay, to finally serving up authentic peranakan cuisine in the morning. Highly recommend to experience this at least once in your visits to Melaka.

It really turned us off when the Owner try to upsale the empty unit by suggesting that we have too many luggage, so the room we booked may not fit!. We travel around the world for many years. our luggages is standard one carry on and one check-in for each person. And it fit fined in the room we booked. Breakfast was tasty and plenty, but it was not hot. it was cold. Malaysian and other Asian food usudally is served hot or warm. Who can eat cold fried noodle / cold stir fried vegetables? She Reminded guests to keep the hotel floor clean! It is too bad because the hotel is nice and located at a very good location and the staffs are excellent!

Amenity kit

There were problems in amenity kits. No vanity kit is available, although the box is there. So, empty box. There was no sewing kit on the first day, but second day found it. Sewing kit box is there. If you find difficulties to supply them, then the boxes you need to take away. Other than that, staff were very kind and supportive, the hotel was nice.

Unique experience in Melaka

We had an amazing experience here at the 5 Heeren Hotel. The location is superb, right next to Jonker Street, and the hotel itself is exquisite both inside and outside. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Breakdast was also excellent, with a variety of Nyonya dishes and desserts. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for an unique experience in Melaka.

Our stay at 5 Heeren enhanced our short stay in magical Melaka. The building and decor is beautiful. The team were helpful, welcoming and generous in sharing about the Nyonya culture. Breakfast was full of local specialties, and delicious. 100% recommend.

The way we were welcomed was really exceptional. Thank you to Callena and Chester were gracious host any guest could ever get. They are the best. My oh my!!! The breakfast spread was simply the best. This place is 5 STARS!!!! I would recommend this place to all who visit Malacca.
