The room was gorgeous with stunning views of pool area (closed in winter so no noise) and snowy mountains. The entire property is beautiful and well maintained and I felt the staff genuinely cared whether I enjoyed my stay rather than just going through the motions or simply doing their job. The food at both breakfast and dinner was creative and high quality. Overall it was perfect and the best place I’ve stayed during my three weeks in Greece. Highly recommend to anyone traveling in the area (Mystras or Sparta).

A get-away for couples and families!

The Mystras Grand Palace Resort and Spa is a destination in itself. From the cozy rooms, to tennis courts to 2 swimming pools to spa amenities to outstanding Greek cuisine, it offers a wonderful get-away for couples and families. It's location is close to shopping in Sparta and the ruins of the Mystras Castle. If you're in Greece, a must stay is this wonderful resort.

My husband is wandering around the paths between buildings muttering “this is paradise.” He certainly has a good argument for it. The hotel and its grounds are stunning, built in stone in the Mani style (Southern Peloponnese) with ancient olive trees and flowering cactuses and roses along its connecting paths. We are a family of three (two adults, one teen) so I chose the best fit for us when I booked a room. It is ample space for three, with its own stone patio and a larger beautiful bath. The pool has been a highlight for my daughter, and I love having poolside restaurant and bar/cafe service. Staff here are attentive but also allow your privacy. They’re also very helpful when engaged in conversation. My favorite part of the stay is the meal I usually skip: breakfast. It was the most beautiful and comprehensive breakfast buffet I’ve ever seen! And to sit in the upstairs restaurant terrace, sipping coffee and seeing the ancient monastery of Mystras, nestled almost invisibly in the enormous mountains, is a life affirming experience. We loved this hotel so much we have decided to book another ten days here, so that we can soak up as much sun and relaxation as we can.
