What a fantastic jewel of a boutique hotel in beautiful Colmar, France. We were greeted with a glass of sparkling Alsatian Crémant and an Alsatian chocolate in a small box next to our pillow — such a lovely and unexpected welcome. The modern, sparkling hotel is located just a two-minute walk from the cobblestone streets of charming Colmar, We had a spacious room with a view, a comfortable bed and a modern spacious bathroom with a rainfall shower. The hotel breakfast is truly one of the best I have ever had, with a wonderful range of artisan breads and cheeses from the region, scrambled eggs made from the recipe of a two-star Michelin chef, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. The very helpful staff made dinner reservations for us at two local Colmar restaurants, and both were superb. What an unexpected surprise this hotel has been. Thank you and merci to the JAMES Boutique Hotel team for making our stay so special.

This hotel is a gem. Really nice, spacious and modern rooms. Comfortable beds and pillows. The room has everything you could want with the location being perfectly close to town. The lobby area is really nice. Grocery store about a minute walk to get waters or whatever you need which was super convenient.

Fantastic stay. Hotel is lovely. I stayed in a superior room, and it was nicely sized and very comfortable. Well positioned with the old town and most sights being very walkable. I also enjoy all the little touches - the chocolate on the pillow on check in, the cold mineral water in the fridge and even a refresher towel on check out. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Colmar.

The James has a great location and a great team. Their underground parking is very convenient, but is not suitable for large cars. Smaller cars have no problem. Staff was great, the room was a real treat, well appointed and very clean. Breakfast was super, too much to take in, but very well presented.
