Clean, conveniently placed hotel

Clean, quiet room in a very convenient place in athens. Walking distance to most attractions but also very close to the metro

Disappointment

Everything in this hotel is old, please don’t waist your time and money on this hotel,

For the money, GREAT!

For the money! Just AWESOME... Main reason why we picked this hotel is because of the front desk 24/7. Super close to the train. Short walk. We weren't expecting much for the price but this was really a welcome treat. The room even had a mini fridge! We will stay again !

Great location service was good however they need to improve the place a little bit. Need some work but it’s good place for the price.
Ronen, 5-night trip

8/10 Very good

Staff were very friendly, the room was clean, the balcony was small but enjoyed it. The location was great.everything was within a half hour walk. The price was right.

2/10 Poor

Any business that cannot even spell its name properly is not ready for business. They hotel was stuffy. We booked 3 nights and stayed 2. We spent the entire day out, and came back to no lights in the corridor and no lights in our room. We were provided other accomadations, however the following morning attendant accussed us of causing the outage. The Audacity.

The bathroom door is too close to the toilet so you will hit the head on the door everytime you sit or stand up. Its

8/10 Very good

Service was great, staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. This is not a five star hotel so you get what you pay for, we just needed a place to sleep and were quite happy, nothing to complain about. It's located right near Omonia Square where you will find shopping and restaurants. Just a few minutes walk to the Central Market. The walk to Syntagma square is only about 15 mins but it will take much longer because of all the shops you'll find along the way. Will definitely stay here again when I return.

The worst hotel that I had been stayed ever

This is not a hotel, this is a low condition hostel. I will never work with you again.
Murat Kamil, 4-night trip

Decent stay in Athens …

3 night trip to Athens , booked it because it was close to Subway. The neighbourhood is not to most glamorous in the city but it’s doable. Room was clean and the hotel was good none the less.
Jude, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The hotel is just a minute walk from Omonia metro station and it’s on a main road - you don’t have to go into any sketchy alleyways. I was alone and felt totally safe walking to/from the hotel. The room was clean and the bathroom was spotless.

6/10 Good

Location is perfect if you want to move around. It is in the centre of Athens.Well serve by public transport. Near to all amenities
Santiago, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

1. Hotel is less than 5 minutes walk to/from the Omonia Metro which is the station for services to/from the airport (9 euro as at May 2025) 2. Hotel is less than 10 minutes walk to/from Monastiraki which is one entry point to the main tourist sites such as the Acropolis 3. The room space and bathroom were a good size, and was sufficient for 2 guests travelling with medium-sized suitcases 4. Small bar fridge to keep food/drinks cold 5. Close to a self-service laundromat

Cheap and OK

You got what you pay for.. A cheap hotel and if you only need a place with a bed and bathroom (that was clean!) for one night, this is good enough.. But don’t expect this to be a luxury place..
Kenneth, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Overall it was great stay. I’m ok the noise from the road but someone will mind. The curtain in the bathroom should be removed or redesigned. It’s uncomfortable

Great! The only reason from I dont give a 10 it’s because the bed was a bit old and noisy. In general very good

A basic hotel, very clean and with a 24-hour reception. About 10 minutes walk from plaza Monastiraki.

Alain, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Ares Athens Hotel provided a mostly comfortable stay for my friend and I this weekend. The beds were a little hard, but from the amount we walked everyday, we fell right asleep every night. The rooms were mostly clean except for finding hairs on the sheets and on the blankets. The location, although a little sketchy at night, was a very short walk to all of the tourist attractions and very good food. The cleaning service was great and the staff was very friendly. Definitely would recommend if you’re on a budget.
Megan, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Good location for walking to see the sights. Nothing fancies about the hotel. It is clean and had a nice balcony that if you lean out, you can see the fountain of Omonoia.
Thanh, 4-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This is a really good location, with just about everything in central Athens easily within walking distance. The rooms have a good fridge and it's also good value
