While this is a large resort and meals can get a bit crowded, Blue Ocean could be rated five stars for its great offerings: infinity pool with padded lounge chairs; fantastic food choices; beautiful grounds; and great views of ocean and cliffs. Access to beaches quite steep with lots of steps. Will definitely stay again!

We had a lovely stay at PortoBay Blue Ocean. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, and we loved the beautiful plants and trees around the hotel, it gave the place a very peaceful feel. The sunset views were stunning. Such a thoughtful touch when they surprised us with chocolate-covered strawberries and orange juice for a birthday — it made the stay extra special! The variety if options at the breakfast buffet was also good.

The food is great buffee option is nice for dinner if you arent half board try it , the restaurant options were all good and quality staff is lively and good spot for hiking quiet time . The spa is convenient but i have seen better i can rate the spa 5 out of 10. For this quality it was poor massage . Other than the massage i would recommend the hotel for relax and rest time . Very good option

We enjoyed very much staying at PortoBay. It is how hotel should be like, clean comfortable room and friendly staff. I want to particularly shout out that we stayed in the low season (Nov) and the hotel still offered fitness class like yoga everyday. We were very happy with our stay at Portobay Blue Ocean hotel. Found it to be very clean inside and the outer gardens and swimming pool were very well kept. All staff were very nice and friendly, often saying hello when walking past. We had the buffet breakfast which was always good, with fresh fruit and nice bakery bits. We once had the buffet evening meal, which I found all very nice. Didn't use their restaurants as menu didn't peek my interest and we're always dead. The sunset bar and upper swimming pool have fantastic views. There wasn't a huge amount to do in the area apart from the beaches, with a lot of places closed but appreciate we did go 'out of season'. There is a great wooden walk way that goes down to the beaches but is quite rough terrain in places so you do need to be 'active' and have suitable footwear.
