We stayed at the Old Capital Bike in on a recommendation from friends that had stayed there a while back and we were not disappointed! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean, breakfast was excellent, the location was great and close by many sights, markets, and restaurants. Honestly, I don't see any reason to stay somewhere else in the future when in Bangkok I felt so very welcomed by the staff at the OCB Inn - they all seemed to know my name when I arrived and left lovely notes and little gifts for me each day. The place is very unusual in the best possible sense and it is extremely well situated. In the years to come, the metro will drop the visitor off across from the hotel and grant access to the rest of the city outside the Old City walls. When I come back to Bangkok, I will stay here.

A wonderful stay at a characterful hotel. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and informative. Yes as you will have seen; there are road works at the front of the hotel but the hotel is a calm chilled oasis away from the busy streets outside.
