Great restaurants and shopping and history. Easy walking. Really enjoyed the royal mile walk. Lots of places to come back to. Visit incognito a cocktail bar hidden behind a secret door. Great fun very theatrical. The real Greek was a delicious lunch

What a beautiful place for a mini break. For me, the history and Royal interest were priority and for my daughter there was a great variety of shops. Windsor has a fabulous selection of restaurants & eateries, offering all styles of cuisine.

Most people visiting Windsor will either be going to the Castle or Legoland. There are plenty of good restaurants and shops and lots of interesting buildings to enjoy. A trip along the river or a venture in Eton are recommended.

Windsor is lovely the town has lots of charm and history. Along with touring the Castle I also suggest walking over the Eton bridge and along the Main Street through Eton.

A lovely historical place to visit, lots to do and see. We went during the February half term it was nice and quiet! But I've been told during the summer months it's extremely busy.

Would definitely recommend walking the castle, LEGOLAND was also a blast.
"We wrapped up our trip with a stay at the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel, and it honestly couldn’t have been a better choice. The location is unbeatable—tucked right along the river with Windsor Castle just steps away. It had that perfect mix of charm and convenience that made us feel like we were living in a storybook for a few days.
The hotel itself has so much character, and we loved the blend of historic charm with modern touches. Our room was super comfortable and peaceful, which made it easy to unwind. The staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast by the water was a definite highlight.
What we really loved most, though, was the whole vibe of the area. Windsor has this cozy, quaint-town feel with cute shops, riverside paths, and little corners to explore everywhere you turn. We found ourselves wandering with no real plan—and that ended up being one of our favorite parts of the trip.
Would absolutely stay here again. It was the perfect little exhale to end our travels."
"Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. From the moment we arrived. Our room and dining area were very clean. Wished we were able to stay longer."
"It has the best location in Windsor and is a perfect place to stay for one night before heading to Heathrow for a flight. The hotel is a historic building and very charming, but the rooms are not soundproof. You can hear walking and talking from nearby rooms and upstairs, but being in the center of town was worth it. We had a great view of the changing of the guards!"
"Great location, ring at the top oftown opposite the castle. Its a room only hotel so no bar or restaurant, but Windsor has an abundance of pubs and restaurants to choose from. "
"Excellent location perfect for getting to LEGOLAND and Windsor and any other locations you might want to to down that way. Shops and takeaways couple of minutes away by car. Willow court tidy and quiet. The only reason my granddaughter would only give it 9 out 10 because you couldn't let the rabbits out for a fuss she loves rabbits. But the rest of us give 10 out of 10. Would recommend and have already told others who will be looking into booking"
