Our experience at The Ayana was impeccable. The beach is amazing and the villas have a wonderful view. Staff are great and super kind. The team accommodated our last minute reservation and plans swiftly. Cuisine is very good and veggetarian friendly. We will definitely come back!!

The feeling here, from the moment you arrive, is one of bliss. The limited number of rooms makes it feel like you are in your own private villa with some visitors occasionally dropping by. The grounds are impeccably maintained, the staff all smiles and always happy to help, and the food, better than we would have expected. In some cases much better. The only issue here, and it's only an issue for some, is the on-again off-again wi-fi availability. But if that;s your biggest concern, this isn't the resort for you. That aside, the Aiyana is an outstanding property in every way. . . .

The property was in disrepair and the staff seemed untrained. There was no WiFi in the rooms (which was not mentioned when we booked the stay) and VERY limited hot water (and sometimes the water did not work at all. There is honestly nothing I liked/can recommend about this place.

Excellent stay even though it rained 2 full days while I was there. The room and grounds are gorgeous. The bathtub and outside shower are amazing. Note there’s no wifi in the villas but you can download in the main dining area.
The meals were scrumptious. You will not leave hungry. The fresh juices were delicious and the tuna poke bowl was a favorite. The dining staff is very attentive and would bring me seconds of what I liked before even thinking to ask. They even packed me a breakfast as I had an early flight.
The beach is beautiful though it is a little rocky when you first enter the water and then it’s fine. I snorkeled which was great. I had a good massage though I felt like the staff needed a bit more training but my expectations may have been high due to reception and the dining staff’s treatment.
Highly recommend if you want to get it away from all. Truly a beautiful place.

Le sejour était incroyable !
Malheureusement au moment de payer j'ai du passer ma carte 2 fois car elle n'a soit disant pas fonctionné. J'ai donc été débité 2 fois. Cela fait maintenant 2 mois que j'attends un remboursement !!! Quel dommage de devoir écrire ce commentaire alors que le séjour était incroyable...

This property has everything. There’s a whole welcoming committee that greets you with lemongrass juice and the owner gave us an thorough tour of the property. I can’t say enough about how gorgeous our villa was. Once you are there you never want to leave. The customer service was the best I’ve seen while traveling. The food is exceptional. The high end accommodations make you feel comfortable. They have set a benchmark for an exquisite experience.

Après quelques jours de safari, nous voulions profiter du calme et de la beauté de l'Ocean indien dans un bel hotel pour notre lune de miel. Nous n'avons pas été déçus : le service est extraordinaire, le cadre splendide, le management propose chaque soir un thème différent au diner, dans l'assiette ou dans le cadre proposé, pour surprendre et séduire ses invités, la nourriture est excellente. Les chambres sont spacieuses, tout est très propre, et chaque détail est réfléchi... un vrai bonheur ! Merci à Philippe et tout son staff pour ce formidable séjour !

Formidable, incroyable, génial ! Je ne sais pas quel adjectif utilisé pour décrire notre expérience mais du début à la fin, tout était parfait ! Un cadre splendide, un jardin au milieu du paradis. Un personnel aux petits soins. Pleins de « petites » (ou plutôt grandes) attentions tout au monde de notre séjour. C’était notre lune de miel et Philippe, le manager, a su faire en sorte, avec toute l’équipe, que notre voyage soit inoubliable ! Un grand merci !

Beautiful,uniquely designed luxury boutique resort
The Aiyana is a beautifully designed modern resort located about two hours’ drive north from the Pemba Island Airport. It offers excellent, comfortable accommodations, very good food, very friendly staff, and great quality bedding in the spacious suites, each with a large comfortable sofa in the living room. It’s a great place for divers, as Afro Divers will pick you up with their boat or car, depending on the dive site for the day. Highly recommended!
