Room smelled kind of bad, like a gym locker room. There were holes in the blinds and the shade was damaged but it still worked. There was a lot of dust on the bathroom ceiling.vent. We ended up in a handicapped accessible room (we re not handicapped) so the bed was really low to the ground. Staff was good. Breakfast was good. Outside of the building and lobby looked nice.

Upon arrival, trying to turn the lamps on because it was dark out, the floor lamp was physically broken, like the top was just dangling, and it didn't light. Wasn't the biggest deal because we had plenty of light with the other lamps but I notified the front desk right away because I did not want to be blamed or charged for it. After that we head to the pool because it's open for 30 more minutes, the pool room had a very musty smell to it. The water was fine though.

Some lamps were inop, bathroom wastebasket had trash in it, the tv guide card showed 40 plus channels but the tv only received 20 and not very well. When asking the desk the agent she was polite but not very informative. Now I know it sounds petty but I paid for a hotel room not a stay at the Y.

We love staying here because of the people who manage and staff the hotel. They are so cooperative and will get things corrected if necessary, Rooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The desk staff were very friendly & accommodating. They, & the view from our room, are the only reason the hotel is getting a 3 star rating. After the first night, the room cleaner took, but didn’t replace, the used towels. Took the garbage out & kind of made the bed daily, but didn’t clean anything during our weekend stay. The breakfast is mediocre, at best! It was definitely not worth the price we paid for our stay.

The rooms are a little well-worn but clean and big. biggest complaint is the AC which was noisy and maybe needed a cleaning because I had sinus problems. That said, I cannot say enough positive about the staff. The check staff, the cleaning staff, the people replenishing breakfast were all so welcoming and friendly. Not much in the immediate neighborhood but we were there for a concert in Guilford so it was convenient ... quick drive to Weir's beach, etc.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean. We know to stay a few little things about maintenance. Wallpaper peeling away and the toilet didn't flush well. It seems if housekeeping pointed this out to maintenance, It could be easily fixed and make a difference for their future reviews.
