Nice hotel in Douro Valley

Friendly staff, nice but small pool on roof terrace. Rooms and bed was OK, though our friends found lots of small ants in their room (probably due to a spillage in the waste basket). The staff handled this promtly, and the problem didn't occure for the rest of the stay. We were two couples and stayed for two nights. Food was OK, but nothing more. Breakfast was lovely and included in the price. We enjoyed our stay here.

Beautiful property in the beautiful Douro Valley with a nice pool. There is no winery on site, but it is in the middle of beautiful vineyards. You can go down the road to Pinhao or to St. Eufemia Winery for a tour. Breakfast was great and the staff was very accomodating. Great price for a beautiful stay. The property would benefit from some more outdoor leisure areas to sit peacefully and enjoy the view other than the balcony of your room or the pool/deck.
