Wonderful

Modern glamour in colonial stone

The Billini Hotel plays with contrast in the best way, pairing avant-garde design with a foundation of 450-year-old brick and stone in Santo Domingo’s Colonial Zone. The lobby sets the tone with marble floors, high ceilings, natural light, and modern art that makes arrival feel instantly elevated. Suites keep the mood contemporary, with modern art, vintage-inspired furnishings, and Bang & Olufsen sound systems for crisp in-room ambiance.

We only spent one night here before traveling to another part of the country, but it was a wonderful experience. The two adjoining rooms were beautiful and clean, the rooftop pool was beautiful, and the breakfast was really fabulous. I highly recommend staying here.

10/10 Exceptional

I absolutely loved my stay here. One of my favorite things about the hotel was our room overlooking the beautiful Spanish style courtyard. The view and atmosphere were amazing, and the courtyard ended up providing the perfect backdrop for some of my friends' wedding pictures. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout the stay, which only added to the experience. What really stood out to me, though, was the atmosphere of the hotel. It somehow managed to feel cozy and luxurious at the same time. There was something nostalgic about it, almost like a place I had missed even though I had never been there before. It had a warmth and character that you just don't get from a typical modern hotel. I also really liked the design of the bar. It had its own personality and fit perfectly with the overall style and vibe of the property. Between the beautiful architecture, courtyard, welcoming staff, and unique atmosphere, this hotel genuinely added something special to an already memorable trip for my friends' wedding. I would definitely stay here again.

10/10 Exceptional

The historic Colonial Zone hotel has a great staff, Quirico & Barbara, to name a few, but they were all very kind and professional. Their amenities and rooms were excellent and clean. But the best part is that you just have to walk three short blocks to right from the front of the hotel, and two blocks up and you will be smack in the middle of Parque Cristóbal!

Our one complaint about this lovely hotel was the impossible noise at night. The music from the rooftop bar kept us up and required visiting the front desk twice our first night to request they lower the music. Then a lobby argument so loud on our second night seemed headed towards violence. Otherwise, our rooms lived up to expectation as did the location in the colonial area.
