The hotel was nice, the view terrific and the food in the dining room was fantastic, especially the halibut special on the last night we were there. It was the best halibut we have ever eaten.

Top end spot to stay in Price Rupert
Well, it certainly helped that they upgraded us on one of our stays to a fabulous room. They had unusually hot weather when we arrived and the upgraded room had air conditioning (which not all rooms have). But I had no complaints about the room we stayed in a few days later, which was one of their water view rooms (which I heartily recommend). The beds are great, the wifi is free, and the restaurant has both views and great food (possibly one of the the top restaurants in the town). There is a Safeway grocery store just across the street, which is very nice if you are not traveling by car. (You will have to get a taxi from the airport shuttle depot. But that's true for most of the places to stay.)

Best hotel on cross country trip
Loved the decor and staff. The dining room and lounge areas had lots of windows to enjoy the view, bald eagles, and bring in the daylight. The food was excellent, we ate all our meals there. A definite to stay again

A decent hotel
A good hotel, however, the room was too small and it has no A/C, which made the afternoon uncomfortable, and very likely it would be worse during the summer months (I was there in mid May). The WiFi speed is well below the lowest acceptable. I measured the speed multiple times, and the highest was 0.68 Mbps (that is under one 1 Mbps). Good food in the restaurant, although the selection should be broader, which you will notice when eating there more than once.

Great Hotel - Transport would be appreciated
A very comfortable hotel. The location is lovely but if you are new to Prince Rupert, be prepared - it is a remote northern community with plenty of natural beauty to impress you. The food here was great and so is the Bay Cafe - wow!. There is a drawback to this hotel however that I think would really make a difference. Once you finally arrive in town after a 2 bus rides and a ferry ride (from the airport) they drop you off in the middle of town. The walk is only about 7 minutes but if you have much luggage it is a pain up and down hills. I don't understand why this lovely hotel does not provide transport as there are only two times a day that you can arrive.

Great service, nice happy hour deals, great water view from lounge. A bit noisy at night -- could hear guests upstairs walking and could hear music from ... ?? Tips: stay on upper floors away from parking area.

I travel for work and I am going to have to say this is my new favourite hotel. The view was spectacular. It is noisy, but it is an old hotel and too be expected as such. I would happily stay here again.
