What a beautiful place! Accomodation was nice. Room 16 is going to have some problems with the shower and leakage there of. Water runs from under the shower onto the floor which will in the long run lead to problems. The bed curtains (that are not there) would have covered the fault in the bed sustained by wacum cleaning. Food was good. Rather pricy, but good. As was the breakfast. Good, but pricy. But I gather everyting is pricy in Iceland. Wi-Fi was hopping on and off in the room. Great to have a sauna and a jacuzzi. Thanks!

Vogur Country Lodge is in a very remote part of Iceland. The area is stunningly beautiful and this hotel is a perfect place to stay as a gateway to the West and West Fjords. The hotel is clean, comfortable and well staffed by Constantin, who prepared incredible meals. The hotel has a hot tub and a sauna. It's a lovely place to stay. I hope I get a chance to come back!!

Out of 12 days in Iceland, this was the best stay experience we had. Artur and Konstantin were so nice and helpful, even for just two guests. They bent over backwards for us, had great recommendations, the best food we’ve had, and made us feel so at home. This place is a hidden gem and I hope many, many more people go and see them!

This was one of our favorite properties in Iceland. It's remote, quiet and provides local experiences. On our way to this property, we experienced so many amazing views and saw 2 herds in the road... one sheep and the other horses. The manager of the property was super personable and our suite was very nice. I highly recommend this property!

An absolute gem! The lodge was clean, well-maintained, and appeared either fairly new or renovated. The countryside was beautiful and serene. The large deck boasted a view of the bay. My husband, sons (ages 17 and 12), and I enjoyed a beautiful hike up the mountain with waterfall and had a relaxing soak in the hot tub before bed. The room was spacious and clean and had a private bathroom. The breakfast looked fresh and appetizing.

Loved our stay here. The staff were excellent - both Mossy at check in and Artruro our Polish waiter for dinner. The food was fabulous. We were able to walk to a close-by waterfall which was fun. Lots of birds around. They had a sauna and hot tub but it kept raining so we did not utilize it. Although this place seems to be in the middle of nowhere, it was amazing! Really liked it and would highly recommend to other travelers. The road was a bit rough but honestly, we drove on much worse in Iceland.
Some of the seals we saw on the road out! Amazing. Low tide and we saw many! Another reason to stay here.

The room was nice, and the staff was super kind. The food was also one of the best we’ve had during our 12-day trip to Iceland. The jacuzzi was easy to operate, and a joy to relax in at the end of a long day. The perfect place for a 1-night sleep, although we would’ve stayed longer if we could. Only downside to our room was that it was impossible to get it dark during the longer summer days. It would’ve been great if there was a curtain to darken the room a bit more. Beyond that, Vogur was excellent!

Arthur and Caroline were extremely welcoming and excellent hosts. If the weather had cooperated it would have been and excellent place to see the stars and perhaps the northern lights too.

Poor structure, basic and with very dirty hot tub. We reserved 2 double room and they gave us a single room. No reimbursement. We reserved 4 months prior a dinner for 12 and they forgot the reservation. Result: no selection for anybody. I would definitely not recommend this place. Iceland is beautiful, do not waste time for 40 min of gravel road.

If you are looking for a weekend gateway or you are just traveling to Iceland and want some great experience of Iceland country side, this is a place for you. It's out of the way from your typical tourist spots but location is absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend the place.
