Unfortunately, this was a disappointing hotel experience. We had been looking forward to our trip to Oslo for a long time and were especially excited to celebrate Norway’s National Day (17th of May) in the capital, so it’s extra disappointing that the hotel stay ended up affecting the trip negatively.
We are not demanding guests at all, and every time we contacted the reception we did so politely and respectfully.
We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days, but our room was NEVER cleaned during the entire stay — despite informing reception several times and hanging the cleaning sign on the door.
One evening, after a long and tiring day, we had to reuse towels that should already have been replaced. We tried calling reception late in the evening, but no one answered. The next day, we had to ask a staff member cleaning another room further down the hallway for fresh towels ourselves.
Honestly, the experience felt more like staying in a bed and breakfast without service than in a hotel. Very disappointing, because basic housekeeping and guest service should be expected during a hotel stay.
