We loved staying here! Hotel is in the center of the lakefront just across from ferry yet well soundproofed with windows closed. Fabulous view from our balcony! Staff were warm and very helpful. Large room and bathroom were kept spotless and A/C kept room climate perfect! Breakfast was great too!

Safety deposit box didn’t work The bed of the sofa bed was made when I arrived, eventhough I was traveling solo, I asked for it to be folded and it never happened. Unpleasant smell in their lobby. We loved the location of the hotel - just on beautiful view and right in the middle of everything. We rented e-bikes and traveled to Sirmione and to the beach. We also used the Wellness center and were surprised how lovely it was. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The staff at reception, the breakfast room, and the cafe in the evening were so friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the dinner recommendation to La Columba - it was outstanding! Finally, we were grateful that the hotel offers complementary rides to the train station- walking down to the hotel as ok but going back up would have been so hard! We highly recommend this hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mayer & Splendid. The staff was incredibly welcoming and even allowed us to check in early, which was greatly appreciated after a long day of travel. Throughout our stay, the service was consistently top-notch. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about making our visit enjoyable. The breakfast each morning was fantastic, with a great selection and a wonderful start to the day. We were especially grateful for the assistance the team provided with transportation and helping us arrange our trip to the train station. Their local knowledge and willingness to help made our travels much easier and stress-free. What stood out most was how the team made us feel. We felt less like hotel guests and more like family. That level of hospitality is rare and made our time in Desenzano even more memorable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lake Garda.

Staff was very helpful in anything you asked them. They picked us up and dropped us off at the train station with no issues. Breakfast was very good as well. The hotel is 200 years old, and you can tell in some areas, but for the most part the rooms were plenty for us for a couple of days. Will stay there again.

Very lovely front desk staff and the spa was great. Although the views from the room were beautiful and location was great, unfortunately the decor in the rooms was incredibly dated and they didn't offer any room service.

Stayed in the spacious junior suite with a beautiful view of the lake. We had a little balcony. We enjoyed the spa facilities - clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for walking to restaurants and taking the boat to Sirmione. Good staff.

Fabulous balcony overlooking lake

The balcony overlooking the lake was the highlight of the stay. The room was a little tired and the outside of the building in desperate need of some maintenance but could look at that view all day.
