Most amazing hotel, my little girl loved it. The soft play was her favourite! The kids area in the swimming pool was amazing too! So much to do, we were at the end of our 4 week trip around Thailand and so we just stayed in hotel and enjoyed it for the whole week, never got bored! The food was amazing, and the sunsets at the restaurant by the beach was gorgeous! Only downside is the yoga classes are in a room next to the games room, and so for more than half of the yoga class we had to listen to kids screaming and also looking into the room, so being shy it can be off putting. A hotel we stayed in in koh Samui did their classes in the mornings by the pool outdoors early morning whilst breakfast just began, which is just a thought that maybe the hotel should consider theirs in the giant garden by the lake. My daughter loved feeding the fish! Would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Khao Lak!

I also want to name Katy ( Surangpinong) from Talay Restaurant. She was excellent. Friendly, super efficient and helpful. She is great. Our daughter and we loved her. Her services are outstanding and she was so friendly to our daughter. All staff was so friendly. From cleaning staff to restaurant staff and reception. From we arrived you could the quality of The Sands, it's beautifully laid out with manicured lawns, water features and a large fish pond. We had a swim up room which was large, clean and very comfortable, the only downside of the room was that the terrace was in the shade for the majority of the day, if you want one of these rooms request one that has sun most of the day. The site is almost split in two with quieter side that had an adult only pool and family pool with bar, then the other side has a mini water park for the kids with a number slides, fun water play and a lazy river. At breakfast there's a great choice catering to all nationalities and tastes, we didn't eat at the hotel at night but speaking to people who had it sounded very good. The staff are fantastic, always polite and friendly, nothing is to much trouble. Whether you want a family holiday, with plenty to entertain the kids, or a restful time from work or touring Thailand then The Sands is a great choice
