The host and his daughter were very kind and helpful. We were there to see the Highland Games and they provided information regarding parking, getting there, etc. It is a very beautiful old house built by the Lipton tea guy.

The hotel is clearly at the beginning of a new journey which will be very interesting to follow as the property has lots of character, is steeped in history and is being beautifully restored and although is a work in progress, don’t let this put you off as the hotel is very charming and beautiful inside. An excellent warm welcome by the host/owner and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for one night as a couple as part of our trip around Scotland and our sea view room was exceptionally decorated, full of character and was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was included in the price as standard and the owner had obviously gone to a lot of trouble as there was more than enough choice, the individual cafetière of coffee being a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend this hotel
