Wonderful Stay

Wonderful stay at the Schloss! Rooms are very clean with a ton of character. Parking was easy. Staff was very helpful. We loved the spa area with the sauna and pool. And we had two excellent breakfasts and two excellent dinners at their on site restaurant. Not to be missed!

Our family of four spent two nights here in May. What a magical place, the setting is perfect for recharging. There is adventure to be found for sure, however after a busy week exploring Austria on our way to Italy, we simply enjoyed the beauty of the mountains and relaxing with a book. Our stay at Schloss Mittersill was absolutely outstanding, truly one of a kind! We were greeted with a welcome drink and received a gift when we left. The castle itself is absolutely stunning and amazing, so much to explore, so beautiful. Around each corner there was something else to discover. The different cellars, the watch tower, the chapel, the gardens, the lounge, the bar, etc. The restaurant with different dining rooms, a glass house, panorama terrace, courtyard terrace. And the food was outstanding! Then the wellness center with so many different saunas, the outdoor sauna, infrared sauna, sole steam sauna, rest rooms, indoor/outdoor pool, outdoor area, massage... But the absolute best was the staff. I travel a lot, and for a while also worked in the hospitality business, and this was by far one of the best experiences I ever had, the friendliest, nicest, and most accommodating personnel I have ever met, truly interested and invested, every single one of them! All of them were going out of their way and above and beyond to make our vacation the best ever. They made us feel like royalty in this most amazing castle. They were looking for ways to make any wish come true. All of us will truly treasure this experience and this vacation for the rest of our lives. And we are considered another trip from the US to Austria with our whole family, when we would definitely plan a stay at Schloss Mittersill again! We highly recommend Schloss Mittersill.

We had an amazing stay at Schloßstraße Mittersill and some much needed downtime after three weeks of touring. Our rooms (deluxe balcony) were beautiful, and the views were spectacular. The restaurant was wonderful - we ate breakfast and dinner there every night. As fabulous as the hotel was, what made our stay really special was how well we were taken care of by Csilla and Tanja, They made us feel so welcome.

We absolutely loved our stay at the mittersill castle hotel. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a drink in the Schlosshof. We were shown to our room, which was beautiful. So spacious with a gorgeous view. We booked the half pension for the first night, and the food was delicious. The second night we ate from the menu al a crate. Once again, delicious. We went to the spa everyday, and were very impressed with the sauna. Breakfast was very filling with excellent service. The location of the castle within the Hohe Tauern national park was great for hiking. We will definitely be back soon!
