The location is unbeatable because it is within walking distance of the cloud forest. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious and the room was comfortable with a nice porch. I wish the room had a refrigerator and the hotel could use a pool or a hot tub, but the stay was nice overall.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Trapp Family Lodge. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had breakfast and dinner at the Lodge, and both were delicious, with excellent service. The gardens are well maintained, with plenty of flowering planets to attract birds. The room was relatively standard - very clean, plenty of light, and comfortable bed. We would happily stay there again if we had the opportunity.

Secluded location (right down the road from the Monteverde Cloud Forest) with beautiful views of the mountains. Walked into town, which was quite a hike but hiking was the reason for my trip to begin with! Santa Elena is very picturesque with plenty of amenities and catching a cab ride back to my hotel was no problem. Wish they would have had a safe in the room, but other than that i would highly recommend!
