My family and I had a very pleasant time at Vela Be. The room was clean and cozy. I wish I had the time to dip in the bubble pool, but it was nice even just resting and taking photos. The breakfast was filling, with a good selection of salad, fruits, cereals, juices, Breads, carbs and proteins, coffee and tea. The breakfast area was spacious with a relaxing view. The place can be reached easily via Grab or taxi, but also a 5-10minute walk to BTS and the Siam Paragon

Great hotel for a few nights in Bangkok. This hotel is close to transport, MBK, canals, markets, food and bars. Funky decor, comfortable bed, and a pool. The buffet breakfast had a lovley selection of Thai food as well as western and the filter coffee was nice. The common areas had pool table and games and the seating by the pool comfortable and shaded. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying a couple of nights in BKK.

The hotel is in a great location, close to everything you need in the busy Bangkok area. It’s within walking distance of the BTS Skytrain, shopping malls, and plenty of restaurants. The only downside was that the air conditioner had a slight musty smell, and it blew directly toward the bed throughout the night. The breakfast was decent, but there weren’t many options for Western travelers. The room was a good size for the price, and although the hotel was undergoing renovations during my stay, it didn’t significantly affect my experience. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 weeks while visiting Bangkok. It was an excellent stay. The rooms weren’t huge but were great for us since we were in and out most of the time. All of the staff were friendly and went above and beyond. The beds were comfortable and the showers were nice and hot. Would absolutely stay here again.

I stayed in a Basic Suite with a king-sized bed during an off-peak travel season (August). Location: -Very safe neighbourhood (it’s in town!) -Conveniently located just near National Stadium BTS station, and near the whole stretch of malls in the Sukhumvit area. -Take note however that the walk from the BTS station to the hotel is around 500m, and the hotel is also situated at the end of a street, which is uncovered. If it’s a particularly hot and humid day, or a very rainy one, that walk can be quite a hassle. The street is accessible to cars and motorbikes though, so ride hailing is not an issue. Rooms and amenities: -The bed was really comfortable, and what I really loved about the room was its own air conditioning unit! Guests have FULL CONTROL over the room temperature, for once! -Room was well maintained, and clean -What I did not like: there are only two wall hooks to hang clothes (and only two clothes hangers). The room I stayed in did not have a wardrobe or any form of hanging rod at all and I ended up putting my clothes on the sofa. Also, no luggage rack so I had to open my luggage on the floor or the desk -Breakfast menu rotates every day, and features some local dishes, so very much worth having breakfast at the hotel Service: -Staff were friendly and responded well to any questions and requests -Check-in and check-out was smooth and hassle free

Breakfast was a nice east-meets- west affair and was a great way to start each day. The room door stuck and made quite a screeching noise when opening and closing. Staff were fantastic and really enhanced our stay. Side note: there are other hotels in this chain not too far away so be very careful when ordering taxis or ride shares.

Quite a new hotel at a great location. Neighbourhood is quiet, couple of minutes walk to the National Stadium BTS station. In fact because of the notorious bad Bangkok traffic, I was walking to and fro from hotel to the malls like Central World, Platinum, Siam Paragon etc. The only thing I hate about this hotel is the frequent slamming of the doors. There's no soft closure installed on the the doors. So you can hear clearly and loudly when every guest enters or leaves their room. Gets worse in the morning during the checkout hour and when the housekeepers starts cleaning up the rooms. So I can imagine how bad it is going to be during peak tourist season.
