This place is amazing! Such history and they have thought of everything. Breakfast provisions were plentiful and Greenock is beautiful! We will definitely be coming back
We loved the history of the place. It’s location was convenient for us too
The day we arrived was a catastrophic bush fire warning day and obviously very hot. Also just before Christmas. The owner rang to let us know the property was ready early and air conditioner was already going so come whenever we were ready, we arrived and the property was lovely and nice and cool inside. Owner also let us know she would contact us if there was any need to leave due to fires which helped put us a bit more at ease. There was also some delicious ginger bread on the table for us. The whole stay was lovely, great little cottage, excellent spa bath and tasty breakfast provisions as well as a nice red wine. Thank you for making our 8th wedding anniversary so special!!!
Everything was suitable and perfect for the stay. The attention to details was great, with items for the children to play with, a pre-prepared fireplace, and a pot of herbs for cooking with.
Loved the character of this old building which was done up to a tee. The fireplace was super, kitchen well equipped and great size spa bath. Everything was great.
Great communication from the owner and the property was easy to find. Greenock is a nice little place and we enjoyed walking around and talking to the locals. We had a great dinner at the local hotel just a short walk from the property. A generous amount of food was left for our breakfast which we enjoyed. It was cold when we visited but the house soon warmed up with the fire going, and the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up.
Quaint self contained cottage with slow combustion fire, lovely fenced yard for our little dog - we loved our 2 night stay. No oven but there was an electric frypan - great breakfast provisions
We felt at home as soon as entered the property. Lovely cottage, very clean and tidy and tastefully decorated. The only negatives would be not enough kindling for the fire and also the traffic noise on Monday morning was quite loud but apart from that would highly recommend it.
We really loved our stay in this wonderful warm and cosy cottage. The wood fire was perfect for our cold wet and very wintry weekend away. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, an enormous bathroom, kitchen and 2 living areas plus an outdoor area that includes a BBQ. The special touches included a bottle of wine, chocolates, and cereal, bacon and egg breakkie supplies. The kitchen was well appointed. The spa bath was an added bonus to make our trip relaxing. The locals all made us feel welcome at the coffee shop, the brewery and the pub, and there are a number of wineries and things to see and do within walking distance. Alternatively some bigger towns are a short drive away. We wished we could have stayed longer....maybe next time!!!
We had a lovely 2 night stay at the Old Greenock Telegraph Station. Everything was excellent especially the wood fire, breakfast supplies and the wine! It was a great location and we would love to come back with some friends and stay a bit longer.
