6/10 Good

The rooms in this hotel don’t represent a 5 star hotel room. We upgraded to gold and yet the bathroom wasn’t as well maintained. Our family had non-gold rooms and had curtains in washroom like a motel washroom. Breakfast was good though with lots of variety. Service and staff were ok. I believe it’s such a busy hotel and close to the haram so they don’t make effort to raise the standards to a true 5 star hotel.

10/10 Exceptional

We had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Clock Tower Hotel in Makkah during our Umrah, and overall, the experience was excellent. A special mention must go to Salahuddin and his team, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help truly stood out. Whenever we needed assistance, they were always there with a positive attitude and genuine care. People like Salahuddin make a real difference to a guest’s experience, especially during such a meaningful journey as Umrah. His dedication and excellent customer service deserve to be recognised. I would highly recommend Salahuddin for a promotion. He is a great asset to the Fairmont team, and I hope management recognises his hard work and commitment. He certainly deserves it. Thank you to Salahuddin and the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We would be very happy to stay at the Fairmont Clock Tower again.
