Excellent venue that was a pleasant stroll into the city centre, and very close to the Electric rail station. Great view across the bay, very helpful and attentive staff made you feel extremely welcome. Good choice of breakfast and would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kings House, the staff and other guests were really friendly. Our room was quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There was a wide variety of teas/coffee etc. Breakfast was substantial, tasty and good value. We hope to go back some day.

Mirham was so kind and sweet the room was amazing she let us use a baby crib and an adapter to charge my phone. Her breakfeast was amazing definitely will stay here again if we ever visit again!

We stayed in room 9 and had a wonderful beach view from the bay window. We whiled away several hours just watching the sea and the ferries. One thing I was very grateful for was the fact the windows were clean so we could see out perfectly. The bed was comfy and we could open the windows so the room was a good temperature. The shower was fantastic!!! We didn't have any food. We would stay again, one note of caution though, the hotel is 1.3miles away from the ferry terminal. It's a long way at the end of a busy day sightseeing.

Nice welcome and excellent breakfast. Comfortable large room with lovely views over harbour. Convenient for buses and electric railway. Still some modernising and improvements being done. We enjoyed our stay.

All the staff were lovely & friendly. The breakfasts were delicious & nothing was too much trouble for them. Miriam made delicious pancakes for our granddaughter which was so kind. Miriam & Robin are lovely hosts & can highly recommend this guest house.

We had a lovely stay. Beds were comfortable and the room overlooked the sea. It was very relaxing falling asleep to the sound of waves. The thing that makes this place so special is Miriam, her family and the team. Nothing was too much trouble. They were so kind. I will definitely stay again. Thanks Miriam

Kings House is the oldest guest house in Douglas and Miriam and Robin have taken on a big project to renovate this beautiful house. They are gradually renovating the house so certain aspects have not been completed but this wouldn't put us off returning. Miriam couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was really great with good quality coffee made fresh in a cafetiere. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, and the shower good. The room was serviced each day and a plentiful supply of quality teas, coffee and hot chocolate to have in your room with lovely biscuits refreshed each day. We stayed 4 nights to meet up with friends and they were equally pleased with their sea view room. Nice quality towels and a heated towel rail so they were warm and dry each day. Kings House is in a great location and easy access to the electric railway station and horse drawn tram station. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk along the promenade. Don't miss Summerhill Glen very close by. A beautiful wooded walk with bluebells and wild garlic when we visited and some other additional surprises.

The staff we're lovely however we didn't stay in the end as the bathroom was mot in our room it was on the landing were there was also 3 other bedroom doors. There was no sockets in the bathroom and no mirror in the bedroom, so trying to get ready to attend a wedding was an impossible task. The staff understood my situation and help us find other accommodation as there were no other rooms available.

My friend & I arrived and Miriam was friendly and welcoming & allowed us to leave our bags, we were able to return within a couple of hours and Miriam accommodated an early check in as she ensured our room was prepared after we arrived on an early flight. Our room (No.4) had been set up as a twin as per the request and was opposite the communal lounge, the beds were comfortable and everything we needed for our 2 night stay was available. The King’s House provides, tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits. Toiletries in the bathroom. We did have breakfast onsite as we opted to eat out with other friends staying nearby & also around our plans over the weekend away. We also had dealings with Lesley & she was friendly & helpful and it was good that Lesley was able to allow us a later check out as we had a later flight back on Sunday afternoon. This was helpful as we could leave items in the room to come back & freshen up / change after our final morning of exploring. The King’s House is located with views out onto the Promenade and we were able to get a bus to & from the airport easily. Located in a convenient location to explore Nobles Park, where the TT takes place and also the main parkrun location on the Island. We were also close enough to be able to explore Snaefell Mountain via the railway, experience the horse tram and take a trip on the steam railway to Port Erin. Thank you Miriam, Lesley & the King’s House team, my friend and were comfortable during our stay.
