This was an ok place to stay not far from Berlin central station. However, quite costly on this particular night. Staff were not friendly, room was not clean and only one bathroom available with a toilet for 8 people.
I’ve stayed in similar places in Germany which were much cleaner with better facilities.

It’s basic as described. They can improve the check-in process, they have self check-in kiosks but don’t recognize hotels.com reservation numbers. The details needed could have been e-mailed me to fill in instead on the spot.

We stayed at this hostel in December and unfortunately we had an unpleasant experience: we were bitten by some insects during the night. The team reassured us that it wasn’t bed bugs, but it was still quite stressful.
On the positive side, the staff reacted very quickly and professionally — they moved us to another room straight away and even provided special anti-bed-bug bedding (I didn’t even know such a thing existed!). In the new room everything was fine and we had no further bites.
However, the situation scared us so much that when we returned home we had to steam-treat all our textiles, just in case. I really appreciate the hotel’s support and responsiveness, but it was definitely a worrying experience.
