Wedgeview was the perfect starting point for our South African journey. It was about 20 from Cape town airport and a very convenient distance to Stellenbosch wineries. We spent two nights here to recover from jet lag and to explore stellenbosch. We loved everything about this property and its staff!

It's a beautiful place... with open space where you see the mountains and vineyard. Great place to rest and relax. Very welcoming and approachable staff. Beautiful people. It is sad that I only have a night with Wedgeview... Will definitely book this place again for a longer stay... Thanks.

Laid back abd relaxed.

Very relaxed and comfortable, staff and management very welcoming. There were a few maintenance issues, eg badly cracked wall tiles in the bathroom, with exposed edges.

This countryside hotel has everything to make it a perfect holiday destination. The only thing that could be improved was the service. It was a bit messy. Another guest’s laundry bag was misplaced in our room, we reported a wasp nest on our balcony after check in, but it was still there the day we left. And the service at the dinner was not the best. Example; offering to bring some mayonaise, but then never actually delivering it. The staff is the sweetest you can get. But some training would make a huge difference. That said. Hotel and rooms are beautiful!

We enjoyed our stay and the warm hospitality we received upon arrival and during our stay. The staff was outstanding. The breakfast spread and service was A+! Food was beautifully presented and was delish with fresh juices that were incredible. The room and bed linens had a strong fragrance that was difficult for me as I am sensitive to that type of thing. The room was clean but I think it would feel cleaner if the old carpet was replaced with a type of flooring that can be cleaned between guest turnover. The bathroom was modern and aesthetically designed and large with a deep soaking tub and glass shower along with two sinks. Loved the bathroom and the touches they provided such as the terry cloth bath robes. We loved going to town in the evening to Stellenbosch and the property was close enough for us to drive. The property also can arrange a driver to take you to town. There is a pool and then spa services also for more relaxation time on the property.

Such a lovely property. Very homey — esp. with the thatched roofs — and the fireplace. We appreciated the welcome drink. One caution is there seems to be missed communications between Expedia and staff regarding reservations. Enjoyed the views, the food and the friendly staff!
