This is the quirkiest hotel I have ever stayed in. It has the feel and decor of a 16th Century fortified town house combined with crazy art and ornaments. The staff were super helpful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Loved the honesty bar and the rooftop beer garden. Loads of great little shops and restaurants inside and outside the city walls and as ever friendly cats all over the place. Breakfast was great and you can help yourself to the homemade cakes, the real hit is the spinach quiche. Ssh it's a gem, don't tell everyone 😉

Very pleasant stay in Montecarlo

A very nice experience in a lovely town. The hostess was very accomadating. She let us arrive earlier than expected and was very informative for parking. Despite it was a Saturday and a holiday it was very quiet for a good nights sleep. Coffee at breakast was some of the best around.

This unique hotel is not to be missed! A truly beautiful gem in Montecarlo, a delightful place. The hotel is 100% charm, you will not find an athmosphere like this easy again. Big rooms, lots of space. & the breakfast…. Our best in Italy. Francesca is unbelievable! Really. We have never ever experienced such care and service from a hotel owner ever. Before we arrived, she sent us suggestion which we followed & will never forget! There was a train strike when we were there, Francesca orginazed help. And she even followed us up the next evening, making sure we were ok. Her lunch & dinner recommendations is really worth following as well. You will not regret staying at the La Maison Maldi!

Wir fanden sehr freundliche Gastgeber und ein sehr schönes mit liebe zum Detail gemachtes Ambiente vor. Wir reisten mit einem kleinen Hund, für den hatten die Gastgeber ein süßes Hundebett mit 2 Näpfen vorbereitet. Das haben wir bisher in den letzten 10 Jahren nur einmal auf allen Reisen erlebt und zwar im Hotel Hilton. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausgezeichnet und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Auch Ausflüge in die Umgebung wurden uns sehr gut erläutert.

Good stay here. Lovely and enthusiastic service. Welcomed by Francesca immediately. This is a place that want to make you a happy guest. Parking is mere yards away. As close or closer than hotels with their own lot. No worries here. Breakfast was customary. Pastries, ham and cheese and breads with coffee, teas, orange juice, granola. Great toiletries (Rituals)! Tiny village so walk out your door and you are already in the center. Constructive criitiques: please improve quality of matresses, linens, pillows and blankets. Also lighting in the rooms.

Without question the best service we had during our three weeks in Italy. If you want to discover a hilltop C13th Roman village, Monte Carlo is your place. Great location if you have a car - Pisa, Vinci and Lucca and Florence all easy to get to and with visiting. Francesca was without doubt the most gracious and accomodating host. Her passion for service and love for Monte Carlo is evident in everything she does and the property - and is world class. To stay in a C16th abode was the experience of a lifetime with fire-side drinks before dinner in the village. If you want a real Italian experience - with service to match - then this is your place. We loved our night with Francesca. She is a terrific host - and pre arrival communication et al was world class.

Ein alter Palast aus dem 16 jahrh. der geschmackvoll in ein Hotel umgebaut wurde auch wenn in manchen Zimmern der Fußboden schief ist dass aber zum Haus passt habe ich mich rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Inhaberin ist freundlich und hilfsbereit wenn es um Tischreservierung oder Tipp für Ausflüge geht. Ich komme bestimmt wieder

Amazing experience!

The best private-owned hotel experience I have ever had. Clean, comfortable and at a nice location, where you can have a view of the whole city and where you can enjoy the pure Italy style town. The hotel is big (over 1000 sq meters or 10,000 sq ft). It is full of history: a 500 year old well, a villa and lots of collections by the owners, who are super nice and professional. The breakfast is the best breakfast experience I have had so far after traveling so many places in many countries. A couple of minutes away you can enjoy food and drinks at a street full of bar and reataurants. Nice food with very reasonable price. The town is small but so pure Italy style. The door of the castle/town could be closed so that the town is safe. Make sure you walk though the town, which is full of story. In sum, a very sweet memory in Italy. I would regret it if missed it. And I told my son to make sure to bring his children here in the future ( my son is just 11 :)) Strongly recommend!

16th Century hotel in the heart of Montecarlo

Our hosts couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The room was comfy though the access to the top of the house was very steep with our luggage. Suggest asking for a first floor room if you stay! Be prepared for street noise and clock chimes, but the setting is idyllic and the breakfast good.
