This Hotel is situated at the most great space in Modica. On the cliffside of the valley 380 steps up from city level. The idea Marco and his wife had on this Hotel and building/constructing this bit by bit is amazing. The view is outstanding from all areas. Rooms are made with huge focus on design and less on practical needs. ie. hagers for towels are missing in bathroom and this might be due to design (we understand this), but then the practical daily need for a hanger gets a frustrating. Rooms are built into cliffside and in October a bit cold - floors are ice-cold, heating do not work sufficient. This leads to a high humidity in the rooms and smell of mold. Difficult to ventilate away as you arrive to the room. We guess during higher temperatures during summer this might not be the case. Staff are friendly and breakfast very nice. Value vs money is not there 100% during our stay in October. The prices are too high compare to the rating as 4 star and the rooms facilities.

The room service was absolutely fantastic! Everything was quickly, quietly and impeccably attended to. And our host was always one step ahead of us regarding what we wanted to do or might need. He was always available and a pleasure to deal with. A beautiful little garden as well and great breakfasts. We stayed 4 nights.

Casa Talia is very much a gem of Modica. The design and aesthetic of each individual room or suite is exceptional and an utter joy to be in. Casa Talia is a series of traditional buildings that have been converted to rooms, rather than one hotel building and its charm is off the scale! The swimming pool is at the top of a climb worth making. Exceptional views and again the aesthetic is perfect. The location is a convenient walk down to central Modica and up the other side to the duomo. Modica itself is a city of steps, so consider if your mobility will be at an appropriate level for visiting here. We couldn’t fault Casa and would say it is world class. The staff, especially Vitorio, couldn’t do enough to make our arrival and stay comfortable. We visited during an exceptionally hot period and he insisted on carrying our luggage to our room for us. The breakfasts served in the garden shaded by Olive, fig and walnut trees were so so delicious and beautifully presented, with an exceptional view of the baroque town. We are thrilled to have stayed here and thank everyone for all their hard work in making our stay so wonderful.

Zauberhafte Unterkunft in einer zauberhaften Stadt

Aussergewohnliches Hotel mit einzelnen Zimmern über mehrere Gebäude verteilt perfekt verschmolzen mit dem Stadtbild und aussergewöhnlicher Aussicht aus Zimmer, Frühstücksbereich, Garten und Pool/Loung Bereich. Die liebe zum Details ist hier in jedem Winkel absolut spürbar.
