If you make it to Coimbra, this hotel is in the perfect place. Roughly 15 or so rooms, easy to walk around and it sits right below the University. The staff was very friendly and attentive, it even has afternoon tea service. We Strongly recommend this boutique hotel.

8/10 Very good

This was a great hotel for the price, very convenient to the university and many restaurants decorated in a library theme (which was in keeping with the purpose of our trip—to visit the Joanina—amazing!) Breakfast included which was very nice. The staff were incredibly helpful and very friendly!! The hotel was formerly a Hästens Sleep Spa still designed in that aesthetic.

8/10 Very good

Fabulous river view in an deluxe room (room 6) on floor 2 . Nice modern room with interesting features. If you have an early start, beware that breakfast is from 8.00am, and we had to order a breakfast box, which isn’t ideal; l have fed back that breakfast should start earlier from 6.30am for a continental style. Good location and next to the old town and main street

Very interesting book theme in all the rooms. I can’t imagine how much the owner spent on marble to create all of those marble book ends! It’s really an amazing place for a visit as you’ll never stay in a room like that anywhere else. The hotel is also very close to the university and to dozens of cafés.

Such an amazing hotel. The room was decorated beautifully and the bathroom looks like a library was real book titles. The bed was super comfortable, and the location could not have been more perfect. The staff at the front, Helena was super helpful with navigating public transit when we were confused and would absolutely stay at this hotel again and again given the opportunity.
