Shocked and appalled by this hotel.
Firstly upon checking in we found signs of BED BUGS. Have also seen other reviews on hotels.com stating the same thing, so multiple occurrences.
We went to speak to the “receptionist” (person sat downstairs with a laptop) who had checked us in, explained the situation, and asked for a refund so that we could go and stay elsewhere. Long story short, they called their manager who agreed to a 50% refund. I left my phone number as was told the refund would be sorted the next morning.
The refund never came, so messaged via hotels.com where I had booked the room, also emailed directly. Received no reply. Found a number online for the hotel, so sent them a WhatsApp message and tried to call them. Eventually got a call back after requesting one, as all correspondence to this point had been ignored. Was once again told they needed to speak to their manager in order to confirm and sort the refund. Received a message saying that the accountant was on holiday so this couldn’t be sorted straight away. I was stupid enough to fall for it.
3 months later I still have no refund, despite chasing regularly, so have been lied to by the property on multiple occasions.
Would avoid due to bedbugs, as well as the duplicitous and shady business practises going on here.
Pictures also made the room look a lot nicer than it was. Was very makeshift and basic.
