A pleasant surprise our room was on the canal a block away from the main hotel, the stairs to the canal were extremely step, would be almost impossible for some people, but the room and the location were unique, wonderful city.

We were disappointed with this hotel, and in particular the lack of amenities in the room. There was no fridge, although there appeared to be the space for one in the built in cupboard. Storage space in the bathroom was poor. No tissues were provided. There appeared to be rather a lot of dust around the surfaces of our room. We also noticed that the lift was scruffy. We had drinks in the bar but didn’t order any food. The restaurant appeared to be very popular.

A lovely hotel, with lovely, friendly, helpful staff. The whole place IS a hotel, of course, but it doesn't feel like it somehow; rather, it feels like a home-away-from home. Thoroughly relaxing and in a lovely part of the city, where it is a joy to be woken by the sound of the intricate church bells from the impressive Dom.
