Great location!!! The Axel was the perfect place, close to everything (Bars, Restaurants, Shopping and Subway). The place is clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Berlin.

The amenities will be amazing once the spa reopens later this Fall. The front desk staff were very helpful throughout our stay

The hotel and room were very clean and comfortable. I wish the hotel would have waited for September to renovate the steam room.

8/10 Very good

Lovely helpful staff and clean rooms with comfortable beds and good showers. The hotel looks tired for 2026 though and does need investment, which is starting in the spa area, but at a minimum it also needs new carpets throughout (the hotel has a weird smell which I think is from the carpets) and an upgraded restaurant area. The breakfast was minimal and basic, like a provincial hotel offering from the 1970s…! It would be easy to do better and people would pay more.

The hotel needs a bit of maintenance, the staff at the front desk is amazing

Loved stayng there. Locationis fantastic. One major downside was that the roof terrace, spa, sauna and pool were closed for renovation. I think this has been going on for a while. It is unfortunate as the website barely has a mention of it - unless you really look hard for the notice.

Great stay, clean but dated rooms and worn out equipment, but the staff is amazing, friendly, they work and maintain what they have so well. The breakfast buffet, lacks luster in food, pictured advert is misleading, the food is low quality with stale bread, low quality cold cuts and not much to have, however eggs to order and coffee make the breakfast a bit better, but too pricey just for 3 eggs and a coffee. I’d stay again if the room price is low very central, and know not to expect a 4 star stay.

I had a great stay at Axel hotel! Santiago helped me my first day and let me check in early after a long travel day. Unfortunately the spa and sauna was closed during my stay so I couldn’t enjoy everything this trip.

Good location. Good design, but looked better in the past. Is getting a bit worn. The spa was closed when I was there.

Great location, friendly staff. The rooms and amenities need a little refurbishing though. Unfortunately no showers in the spa when I visited, and the mattress was worn out in my room.
