Lagos is gorgeous and amazing- lots of beaches and wooden walkways along the coast to explore, great shops and restaurants, and nice holiday decorations. There's also a great range of boat tours and activities.

Lagos seemed very safe to us. At no time did we feel uncomfortable even out in the evening/night. There are panhandlers in the old town but they were not persistent. Lots of places to eat. Lots of things to see. Hiking was great with fantastic views.

Its October and its low season. The old town is ok but not much to see. The harbour and the boatcruises are great. We used Lagos and this resort as our home base to see the rest of Algarve coast.

Lagos is amazing! Many other great places to stay besides the Carvi. Great beaches and great food and people all around town. Beach hop and check out other towns too.

Lagos and the surrounding area was our favorite part of Portugal. The people of Portugal, overall, were gracious and helpful everywhere we went.
"This property is in one of the best locations in Algarve. You cannot beat the view and access to the Praia de Ana for this price. The large condo is modern, comfortable and clean with a full kitchen. The tub and shower in our unit required a large step up with no hand rails. Please call and ask if there is a unit with accommodations if you need them. It was relaxing having meals on our balcony overlooking the cliffs. The entrance to the boardwalk along the cliffs is across the street. The entrance to the beach is a half block away. There are a lot of stairs going up and down, but everything is constructed well. If you are disabled, I think you can access the upper boardwalk at other locations that appear not to have stairs. If disabled, you will not be able to access the beach as there is no elevator, but you can enjoy the view from the overlook right by the condo or take a boat ride from downtown Lagos to see the beautiful rock formations up close. There are a few restaurants and a convenience store next to the condo. There are grocery stores and other restaurants within 10 minutes. You are able to walk places, as well, but the streets are narrow. The condo has a basement parking garage with an elevator. Rent a short, small car or suv because the corners and spaces are very tight. There is very limited parking on the street. Vanessa and Anna at the front desk are amazingly helpful and friendly. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and didn't want to leave! "
"Beautiful pool area, amazing buffet breakfast included with good coffee! Walking distance to old town, safe area. Nice balcony facing pool, good towel service. Helpful front desk staff. Very pleasant. Highly recommend. "
"Lagos Atlantic Hotel was nice, we came in late. No room service was offered so we had to drive around to get food.
Day 2 when returned from our room we noticed that the floor had a puddle of water near the air conditioning. We had to go to front desk to let them know and said they have no one fix it tonight but will be fixed the next day. The provided us towels.
Overall, breakfast was exceptional. "
"Great property with amazing sea views: just walk less than a yard walk to a great beach. Safe and quiet, friendly staff, cared pool area, and a very clean studio made us wanting to stay longer."

"The accomodation was perfect for exploring Lagos. It was a 10 minute walk into the old town and a 10 minute walk to the boardwalk for the beaches and spectacular clifftop views.
The hotel has great staff who were willing to help you and always greeted you with a smile. The rooms had everything you needed and lovely traditional decor tastefully done. They aren't trying to be a 5 Star hotel but you can see everyone takes pride in the hotel to make your stay as enjoyable as it can be.
The breakfast had plenty of choices for a continental breakfast. Very happy with what was offered and it was available until 11am which is perfect for a lazy morning person like myself.
I normally go for hotels or guest houses that have tidy rooms, so I can leave my bags and go explore. This time I was happy to stay around. I think many guests were thinking similarly because some stayed by the pool all day. The pool lounge chairs are a premium, which meant that if you didn't time it right you would miss out on a lounge chair but it didn't stop me from taking a dip to refresh "
